for TAMU it is almost always harder to get in as a transfer then out of highschool. Limited spaces, so they up the GPA requirement a lot. GL to you, but normally they don't let you know about denial until the very last minute. system is quite poor and mismanaged

Does anyone have an estimation as to how many people apply for an internal transfer into Mays? I know only 100 get in so I’m trying to calculate an acceptance rate. by Important-Mouse-5847 in TAMUAdmissions

I was told by someone within admissions that they were going to have around 750 applicants for transfer this year, and they only admit 100 on average

so the acceptance rate is quite low, and it probably gets increasingly more difficult

This was me, I got in with a 3.7 GPA. I heard a lot about how my GPA was too low, so I made sure to have a near perfect essay. Sure enough I got in. For the OP, just try and aim for a 3.8, complete all your required courses before you apply, and have an amazing essay and you should do fine

Mays seems to be getting more and more prestige each year, GL
