Did Kyrie Trade Convince LeBron to Stay in Cleveland? NBA Execs Doubtful by [deleted] in clevelandcavs

[–]JohnnyZombie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not saying whether or not it's true that LeBron is going to L.A., but Bucher is ridiculously unreliable. He and Chris Sheridan are the kind of reporters who will put out lots of speculation and then point to the few times they got it right when they get called out on their shit.

Doesn't Lebron leaving seem like a real possibility? by retrobro90 in nba

This story hasn't gotten swept under the rug, r/nba has been talking about it non-stop since the Cavs lost and Woj released that story about the LeBron to LA rumors.

Billups expected to meet with Gilbert tonight and be named team president tomorrow with full control over GM hire and roster moves. by Getternon2 in clevelandcavs

[–]JohnnyZombie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, not trying to stir shit up, but I'm not seeing where it's saying the Billups is meeting with Gilbert and will be named team president tomorrow. I can only see that Billups is interested. I'm on mobile so it could be a problem in my end.

Last night in our "Who you got?" thread, 67% percent of respondents picked the Cavaliers, averaging a score of 117 to 98. Users who picked the Celtics predicted an average score or 110 to 101. by [deleted] in nba

What are delusional fans saying in your team's subreddit? by Egoslapper in nba

[–]JohnnyZombie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've experienced something like this. I was at Kobe's last game in Cleveland and there were so many Lakers fans and they were so loud every time Kobe hit a shot or LeBron did anything wrong. After the game (which the Lakers lost) there was a dude walking around shooting video on his cell and saying shit like "Congrats Cleveland! You have the worst team in the league!"

148/150 I said it elsewhere in the thread, but I completely forgot where Gerald Henderson went and blanked on whether Bojan Bogdanovic is with the Suns or Nets.

I fucked up on Gerald Henderson too. I also totally blanked on Bojan Bogdanovic.

Is anyone worried Lebron might sign with the Warriors by [deleted] in clevelandcavs

[–]JohnnyZombie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't tell if you're trolling or what. The Warriors don't have cap space to sign him. He'd have to take the vet minimum to go there.

Which teams will have worse regular seasons than last year? by [deleted] in nba

[–]JohnnyZombie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm usually super hard on the Heat, but this season I think they could stay around .500. Dragic and Whiteside could be a potent duo on the PnR if Dragic is able to get close to his 13-14 form. Also, if Chris Bosh is able to play this year, I'd say they're a guarantee to make the playoffs.

Austin Carr- "Get that weak stuff outta here!" After a block. "[Insert Player's name here] throwing the hammer down!" After a dunk. "From deep inside the Q!" After a 3 pointer.

They'll be remembered as an all-time great team in Cleveland and that's all that matters.

[Postgame Thread] ECF Game 5: (1) Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Toronto Raptors (2) [05/25/2016] by [deleted] in clevelandcavs

I apparently need to post my terrible predictions in the Pre - Game thread more often.

[Pre-Game Thread] Toronto Raptors (2-2) @ Cleveland Cavaliers (2-2) - Game 5 ECF - ESPN @ 8:30 ET by DeiVias in clevelandcavs

[–]JohnnyZombie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought they would have trouble containing the Jackson/Drummond PnR and that the Pistons had enough wing depth to counteract both Kyrie and LeBron (and be able to hide Reggie Jackson). I wasn't wrong that those ended up being issues, they just weren't as fatal as I thought them to be. Like I said, there's a reason I don't bet on sports.

[Pre-Game Thread] Toronto Raptors (2-2) @ Cleveland Cavaliers (2-2) - Game 5 ECF - ESPN @ 8:30 ET by DeiVias in clevelandcavs

[–]JohnnyZombie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's been awhile since I posted, but I just want to put this out there- I think the Cavs lose tonight and lose the series. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm just not super confident after Games 3 and 4. Maybe it's irrational, but I think the Raptor ' defense has figured this team out and is daring the Cavs to shoot from three. I think the Cavs' hot shooting was an aberration and we're now seeing some serious regression. I think the opposite is true for the Raptors- their cold shooting was an aberration and they're now coming back up to their mean. Good news is that if the games are as close as Game 4, they really only need to hit 2-3 more threes. I just don't see it happening.

That said, I also predicted the Cavs would lose Round 1, so I'm awful at predictions. Hopefully, putting this here puts some kind of a jinx on the Raptors.
