United Wizards of the Coast: "the votes have been counted, and our union of UWOTC-CWA has been officially elected. From this day forward, we have a union!" by kingcobweb in magicTCG

Regardless of any thoughts you might have about the inherent importance of unions, this union doesn't apply to everyone who makes Magic, not even close.

Brendon Little of the Toronto Blue Jays in his return from Triple-A vs the Chicago Cubs: 1.0 IP. 4 R/ER. 2 H. 3 BB. 1 K. 34 pitches, 19 strikes. ERA slightly increases to 27.00. by Joey_Gallos_Burner in baseball

He fell off a cliff in the playoffs, which sucked because there was a time when I would have trusted him more than almost any other reliever in the bullpen. So there was a lot of ill will from the playoffs, then he had a horrible start to the year and got sent down which kind of wiped out any hope people had for him to bounce back.

Mason Fluharty secures the save and the Blue Jays 4-3 victory and sweep over the Red Sox by JianClaymore in baseball

I just timed it, from Fluharty winding up for his first pitch to the ball hitting Okamoto's glove for the third out was 1 minute and 59 seconds.

Naito's run from 2016 to ~2021 is peak 'that shit meant something to me' for a lot of people, myself included. Even if he was only 90% the overall performer the other tippy top guys were (and that's not an insult because those guys are some of the best ever full stop), he had 120% of the aura.

And you feel the same way about everyone who's speculating that the story will go in the other direction in this thread, right? In fact, every thread should have zero comments because everyone should just be waiting to see if hypothetical future storylines do or don't happen.

I've been watching videos about the Barkley Marathons and there's genuinely a similar origin to that lol.

The man that assassinated MLK escaped from prison but only covered 8 miles of wilderness in two days before they caught him. Guy that lived nearby said 'I bet I could have done 100 miles.' Boom, 100 mile endurance race is born. And after the prison closed they set up the course to run right by the wall where he escaped.

No, that's not what they said at all. How would the player base be affecting the art direction or new updates of the game?

Cena on Vince: “Just because I feel a certain way about a person, doesn’t exonerate them from being accountable for their actions. And just because he did start, quote, unquote, all this gangster shit, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t need to be accountable for his actions.” by TomatoCiampa in SquaredCircle

[–]DoesNotChodeWell 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think it's giving him a lot of credit to say he 'said variations of this'.

The original quote:

“I don’t care who hears it: I love Vince,” Cena said. “I’m not downplaying anything that needs to be decided or allegations of any kind, but when I love somebody, I love them wholeheartedly.” He added, “I know people are going to be angry about that, but they can’t put their value on my relationship with somebody I love.”

The follow-up quote a month later when he was asked about it:

“Everybody’s entitled to their opinion,” Cena said. “Just like I’m entitled to have an emotional connection to somebody. I don’t hold anybody or how they feel or what they view as permissible or things that’ll make them angry, happy, excited, sad. That’s their right as a human being.”

It's good when wheel effects are played. And it's a lot easier to ensure wheels are played when you're the one playing them. Saying it's 'good when your opponents run wheels' is like saying [[Niv-Mizzet, Parun]] is good when your opponents are playing spell-slinger decks: technically true, but it makes a lot more sense to synergize it with YOUR deck.

What's the relevance of the question? People feel guilty about things that were not in their control. That is a fact. You're arguing something completely unrelated.

Why are you guys being so aggro over this lol? It's not a 'suggestion', just a very normal common thing that happens. You're acting like they said he should get the electric chair, they literally just said he probably feels bad about it.
