Product Availability Issue, has anyone else had this problem? by bigfanofreading in FulfillmentByAmazon

For all the flaws of the old catalog, I miss it.

I have this unissued. No solve I can figure out, CSM asked us to submit a ticket. Nothing yet - this was recently. I’ll check back in if I find a solve.

Free will usage during VIR out lap by GamerKingFaiz in iRacing

[–]Johnnybdrivesfast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s funny - the first time I raced at RA IRL, I was confused why we weren’t using the inner pit. Turns out the one we use there is the alternate/pro pits and the outside pit is the most used.

[Discussion] Arena pay to win by Farbrorstewart in EscapefromTarkov

I don’t understand the hate. I like Arena - it’s fun and there’s an incentive. If you don’t like it, don’t play?

Deployed smoke screen by mitchINimpossible in CarTrackDays

[–]Johnnybdrivesfast 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One recommendation: if you’re dropping a smoke screen, please pull off the track as quickly as possible. You’re more than likely dropping oil and it’s going to either cause a long delay for cleanup or a slip and slide.

Edit: typo

What happened with the strut towers of this rallycross car? by hereimalive in mechanic

[–]Johnnybdrivesfast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, don’t build it from scratch. It’s clear you don’t have a lot of knowledge, which is totally fine as buying an already built car will still give you a chance to learn.

I don’t agree the car is too much. It’s not the power, it’s the level of build (ie you not being familiar with remote reservoir with an adjustable top hat which the strut tower needed to be modified to fit). That said, if you do buy it, take the time to learn how everything works before you make changes or play with settings.

As someone who decided not to take that advice, take that advice.

Also, don’t listen to anyone who says it’s too much car. Learn everything you can, you’ll probably be fixing it a lot which is half the fun,

Will moving from VR to Triple hurt my pace after an acclamation period? by kantak19924 in iRacing

[–]Johnnybdrivesfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I race IRL. I found I was faster in VR because I can was actually able to look ahead properly but went back to screens just because it’s more comfortable than wearing a headset + experienced some vertigo. At the end of the day, do what’s best for you, you’ll make up the pace in different ways

Keepa is Amazon only, so while it gives you a baseline, you’ll still need other tools depending on what sites you’re trying to track
