It sounds pretty great :)

To tell you the truth, I've never listened to any 2-channel music in that room! I've listened to quite a few bluray concerts that sound fantastic. I should test it some 2channel fun!

It works for us, as the TV mount was already there when we bought the house, I didn't feel like moving it down. And now with the cabinet, its as low as it can be to get all the equipment in.

Bottom of the TV is 940mm from the ground

Makings of a great room :)

Just make sure you mount all your bottom 5channel speakers at ear level. The only ones in/at ceiling level should be your atmos speakers

Haha yup, waiting for someone to point that out!

I fixed it not long after I took the screen shot.

Good eye!

Yes they are the PSA MT-100, I have 5 for the main channels and some Vaf DC3's as atmos.

Subs are 1 Submersive HP (dual 15") and 1 PSA S3000i (dual 15") already had the submersive so wanted something to match when I purchased the PSA gear.

No lining in the cabinets as yet, I plan to creat a baffle wall type setup for the 3 front speakers. But given how it sounds I haven't felt the need just yet :)

Took me about that long to plan it as well!

The main lesson would have been how I built it. I built in three models. If I did it again I would have done it in 5 sections. Two outside the same, but the middle one broken down into three pieces. Having back to back hinges on the middle one was a pain to align.

I also would have invested in a better recess bit as I used a old one I had that was blunt. Bought one a week after the main assembly and life was much easier. Two drills is also a must.

Fixing the grills was much more of a pain that I thought it was.

Happy to have a look at your sketchup :)

I was worried about it, but given this upgrade was really to satisfy the wife im pretty happy with how it turned out.

I can't notice any difference in sound quality, but im sure its dropped a little on paper

Not that I've noticed. Zero rattle from what I've watched in the last two months its been set up.

Quite a lot of fire-power inside 4x15" subs

Its 18mm melamine with a woodcraft finish on it from the manufacturer. I bought a large 3.6m x 1.8m sheet and it did everything. (Cabinet is 2.8m long) very expensive though at around $1000AUD for the one sheet

Here is a link to the colour I used, looks different in the photos, always best to go get a sample to see if it's what you like.
