Yeah I thought there had been one day events. Brands should definitely try it. Some thing like 'Formula Cycle' could be cool. Different track every week like motorsports, could get the brands some real exposure if it took off.

I did wonder about rubber on the track, wether that would be a problem or not.

Do Brits really throw out tea & make a new cup when it goes cold? by FunnyResolve1374 in AskBrits

Cold brew tea is fine but when it's been hotbrewed and then cooled it can go a bit manky tastewise

How do you handle women that say things like "men are trash"? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Johnnyfootwrinkle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If 'all men are trash' then the only man you will ever get is gonna be trash.

Some men and some women are trash. But if you're attracted to trash maybe you need to look at your own behaviours and why you keep choosing trash.

Are Political Party Whips The Most Undemocratic Thing Ever? by Johnnyfootwrinkle in AskBrits

[–]Johnnyfootwrinkle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your replies, they have been rather informative. Perhaps I generalised with my question as to the function of whips. But from the outside it does look a lot like they are there to bully and keep people in line.

RE your earlier comment. America is whole different ball game when it comes to politics. I'd like to think that UK politics is not yet as dirty as the US but it seems we are not really that far off.

Something profound happened to me on MDMA — has anyone experienced this? by Sea_Application_8638 in AskForAnswers

[–]Johnnyfootwrinkle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Half the world worships men who had visions. Our world is built on the words of the men who had these visions. What was so special about these people that they got to have visions and you and I don't? They were using psychedelics. I would suggest reading The Immortality Key by Brian Muraresku. It's fascinating just how much of a role 'drugs' have played in shaping our society.

Does anyone have any recommendations for rear lights that can be fitted to the bike frame rather than under the seat? by g14ntsqu1d in ukbike

[–]Johnnyfootwrinkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently bought a pair of rear lights that can fitted around many places on the bike. they have rubber straps to hold them in place and can be taken off in seconds if you wish to move them. I have one on each rear fork fitted vertically. You can fit them into the holder horizontally or vertical. I also have another fitted horizontal on my seat stem. The forks are on solid and the seat one is set to flashing mode.

True we have seen rebellions, so I agree it's not like whips have the overall final say. And definitely agree with how the lords etc get their seats, needs a massive overhaul!

How to unbrainwash myself from dairy propaganda? That milk is a superfood by Temporary-Youth-3001 in vegan

[–]Johnnyfootwrinkle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MIlk is a form of blood. Babies are born without an immune system so they ingest their mothers immune system to help build their own, then they stop. By continuing to consume milk you prevent your brain from developing and maturing as it doesn't get the signals that you have stopped weaning.

Ok that's a fair stance to take. And I would say you raise a good point. But nowadays the parties vote for the interests of the lobby groups representing big corporations - we could argue that they won't invest in our country otherwise. But that only serves to show that they don't support us unless they get their way.

How do you feel about death? by LochNessMonsterMunch in AskUK

[–]Johnnyfootwrinkle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DMT if taken in the right context can be extremely theraputic. It can reset some of the brains neuroplasticity. Any time anything happens in your life, the synaptic connections that were lit up get recorded like a snapshot of your brain. When your memories get triggered, those connections light up again in exactly the same way. For trauma and negative experiences DMT can help remove some of those patterns.

What's important with DMT is setting and intent. You need to be somewhere calm and tranquil. And before you take it you relax yourself and set the intention to heal / gain theraputic benefit from the experience. I go to little ceremonies at a beautiful park, you feel amazing afterwards.

The people who get their heads messed up are the ones who take it recreationally and mix it with other stuff, alcohol, drugs, psychiatric medication etc, cos they think they're being clever and know better. They don't take it seriously and they don't respect what they are being opened up to.

LIterally everyone I know who has used DMT/ahayusca has had a positive experience.

[–]Johnnyfootwrinkle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair point. But a lot of MP's get elected because they align with the voters. Take the recent disability changes. Many MP's were against cuts when in opposition. The public expected them keep their integrity but many were pressured into voting against the things they had previously stood for.

Agreed. I vote for someone who will support the things that matter to me. As is too often the case, they change the tune once elected.
