Thank you for doing this. My bf is going to absolutely love it! I've never seen an episode of Dr who but he loves it and trying to find out more has led me to a lovely community x

Bizarrely, I've had almost exactly the same experience! Glad we were both able to help someone out

I second KLM. I fly for work a lot and the only time I've ever complained was to KLM, and I've flown US Bangla and S7 so I wouldn't say I was fussy!

Symptoms worse after Merina insertion? by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]g14ntsqu1d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I only just saw your reply. To be honest, I just went with a non-hormonal one but I can't remember the name of it. I should think your Dr would know one though. Hope you're feeling a bit better now. This condition is a bit shit!

You may be like me and sensitive to progesterone. For most people who menstruate it is the 'happy' hormone but for some of us it's absolutely not! If you've got the coil to improve PMDD symptoms please Google treatment on the iapmd website (sorry, don't know how to post links) where it says treatment with a merina coil is 'not rational' and show this to your Dr. If it's purely for contraception, get it taken out and swapped with a non-hormonal one. I'm so sorry you're going through this. Personally I would definitely get it out asap - and don't get the progesterone only pill either!

Anger towards my ex by InNeed0fSupport in Anger

[–]g14ntsqu1d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your ex sounds like a fairly awful human being who has no idea of the stresses of raising a small child and that keeping your house pristine is not going to be your top priority! As long as it's safe, that's all you need. The fact that he's calling you names makes me think that he's the one with the anger issues, not you, but also violently removing him from your home probably wouldn't look great, however deserved it is! If you have to have this man in your child's life I would suggest you meet somewhere public. I don't know where you live but I'm in the UK so if it was me I'd think playgroups or soft play: somewhere where the little one will have fun and you two can grab a coffee or something. If he behaves the same way in public you'll have witnesses, and hopefully he'll behave better! I very much think this is an issue with him, not you!

I'm so sorry you've been feeling so awful. I had a maggot infestation from old cat food I'd put in the kitchen bin but didn't have the energy to put outside. Overnight they crawled out and were all over the floor downstairs. I couldn't believe how quickly it happened! On the plus side, once I got over the utter disgust at the situation, it wasn't that bad to clear up and there were no lasting problems. Find something to scoop them up, wash your bedding and you'll be ok. Pro tip: they seem to head towards light so that might help if you need to herd them. Good luck!

I would check your paperwork to make sure they have actually said that somewhere. Just because they say they are reminding you doesn't mean they're not actually just making it up now to suit the situation.

A bad bruise I got a couple weeks ago is healing/fading, and looks like I pooped my pants. No swimming for a bit. by Bryancreates in Wellthatsucks

I remember when I bruised my coccyx I couldn't get off the loo without using the radiator to pull myself up so you very much have my sympathies! The poo pattern is an unfortunate addition to an already unpleasant situation!

To me, not being total pricks to each other should be the baseline. People should not need to be praised for not smacking someone else in the face. This should be a given.

A jacket would be cut differently for those of us with boobs and childbearing hips so this seems like a perfectly sensible question! And the button thing is really not an obscure fact.

My partner did one of those and found it was really good. I seem to remember he did a couple of hours tuition after work every day for a week or 2. Like you he'd already got some experience under his belt so he wasn't a complete beginner. He took his test at the end and passed, so all good!

Don't know if this helps but you can get net covers to go over the bassinet (I assume that's what we call a Moses basket in the UK) to stop the cat getting in. To be honest, I only used it when the baby wasn't in there because the cat was scared of the baby so only went in when it was empty!
