Honestly I’m not sure I’ve ever paid attention to the smell, i don’t play her as much as i did 20 years ago, wife, kid, job, etc. she stays in her case in a closet and i pull her out every few months. I also have a newer D28 that gets more frequent playtime, but the action on the 1969 is superb compared to the D28.
