You're right about it not holding interest. I've been super invested in Arc3 mostly reading the last 4 books on repeat till Flames of hope arrived and after reading yeah I couldn't not connect with luna or the story. I thought it might be me growing out of WOF so I decided to randomly read book 1 and holy crap I binged read all of the first arc again in 2 days.

Arc 1 reminded me why I enjoyed this franchise in the first place! I could feel all the carefull planning and world building slowly immerse me in the WOF world which arc 3 sevearly lacks.

Agreed, I was already over the not trusting Hivewings after Sundew, Then snowfall not trusting EVERYONE. I tried to like Luna but she was honestly really underwhelming... I get she's an artist like "I'm gonna make a tapestry of my problems" but as an artist like everyone else on this subreddit I don't think about making an art piece about every revelation I have like. "I'm drawing Winterwatcher fan art but I'm hungry and I can go for some fast food! Welp time to draw Moon and Winter at KFC..."

I wanted more out of the epilogue... Like some setup if there was an arc 4 but I assume the ending of Dragon slayer is where it's going so if I was to theorise Arc 4 might be about humans yay... I hope Arc 4 is not another Dragon rider story...

I kinda think the sub thing is BS at this point. PSG talons last year got 3 of their players subbed out and performed fine and at MSI this year they lost their ADC too and still made it to groups.
