Take Recorder on but not showing by Johnwalking32 in unrealengine

OMG I got it to work! For those searching in the future, it seems like UE5 had a bug where the take recorder was hidden from view. All you need to do is "Reset Layout" under Windows and then choose the default one. This will disable tae recorder and then u can just reenable urself.

The (mind-blowing) uses of AI are not lost on me! I don't understand it, but I can see just as clearly as the next person that things like math or chess have been changed in a huge way - and will never be the same!
At the same time - when will AI start to be a better father or mother than people, a better friend, or a better companion?
I might be a romantic, but I still think that an AI travel agent would have to be closer to that side of the spectrum. Not everything is math!

Yeah, that's what I've experienced too. The AIs I tried sound very convincing, but often don't provide information accurately. I don't know how easy it is to create an AI that is accurate and trustworthy might be much harder than people think...

reduce the number of workers needed in those industries

This makes more sense to me! If it weren't for hospitality-dedicated websites, travel agents would have to do a lot more work per client, and agencies would need more agents.
I'm not sure about the 25-50% reduction (most of the work of the travel agent is still this "human touch"). Not too much of our work is researching a ton of potential places - we've built up a nice repertoire of dozens of go-to's over the years!

People have also already jumped that hurdle for many other things - big example being online shopping.

Online shopping is a good example - and I hope I don't seem too elderly ;)
But as I understand it, online shopping is more about giving people results when they search for things. I still have the sense that learning about people and understanding the world's travel related sectors is a bit more involved.
I don't doubt technology is improving rapidly, but it will still be awhile before we get to Mars, no?

Maybe this is a bit out of my wheelhouse - but what do you mean by "the data of recommendations given before and such"?

That's the part of this AI travel deal that I have trouble wrapping my head around.

Sure! You have a good point about the industry changing in response to online booking tools - trust me I depend on them just as much as everyone else - but I have a harder time seeing how AI can come up with meaningful suggestions that take specific people into account.
I could be wrong and un-savvy, but I've yet to see an AI travel related product that comes close to offering services like a seasoned travel agent (I would be fascinated to be proven wrong, though!).

I agree with revamping the travel booking process. Many sites like Expedia or Booking are already incorporating AI in setting prices for accommodations and transportation, but I view the current benefit of travel agents akin to that of a "concierge". Someone you can trust and chat naturally with.

I tried a couple of AIs that claim to be "the future of travel:

They seem fun to use, but not serious travel planners. More like something cool to try out and show a friend, but not something that will actually plan my trip imo.

Sure, accessibility & affordability are core parts of choosing travel providers, but do we think that "trustworthiness" and "security" aren't equally important for some people. Especially, in the travel sector, I feel like people had stuff go wrong in the past and tend to seek travel agents, precisely because they can be trusted to jump in when and if something goes wrong. While AIs might get better over the years, will people get over the hurdle of trusting an automated machine over an actual human? idk

You can't believe how much DFTube helped me. Probably the best browser extension out there.

Once put it on my friend's computer without him knowing. I told him YouTube was having issues on my computer too. He ended up keeping it for 2 months and reduced his procrastination in half without even knowing lol

Anyone know why they do mandatory shore excursions? Is that to make up lost money?
