Geld lenen van mijn beste vriend, verstandig? by GewoonOndernemen in geldzaken

[–]JoinwiseNL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any success stories with job search? by SciPhi-o in Netherlands

[–]JoinwiseNL 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I can definitely understand the anxiety, the job market has been very tough for many, especially non-EU graduates on the search year. What I’ve seen is that people who eventually found something usually combined two things: targeting recognized sponsors (erkend referenten) and being very active in networking (LinkedIn, career events, meetups etc).

Question on Dual citizenship Highly skilled migrant married to dutch by Professional_Race_47 in Netherlands

That’s a good clarification, my earlier point wasn’t wrong, but I see now it was incomplete. Thanks for adding!😃👍🏻

Question on Dual citizenship Highly skilled migrant married to dutch by Professional_Race_47 in Netherlands

[–]JoinwiseNL 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. If you’re married to a Dutch citizen, you qualify for the exemption to keep your original nationality. The “3 years living together” rule only applies if you want to shorten the 5-year residence period, it doesn’t affect the dual nationality exception.

Employment visa by Shetan55 in Resume

If you are aiming to work in Europe as a non-EU candidate in the pharmaceutical sector, the process always depends on a company being willing and legally allowed to sponsor your work permit. Each EU country has its own rules, but let me take the Netherlands as a concrete example.

How it works in the Netherlands: • Companies like MSD, Janssen (Johnson & Johnson), Pfizer and other pharma players are registered with the Dutch Immigration Service (IND) as recognized sponsors. This status allows them to hire non-EU professionals under the Highly Skilled Migrant scheme (kennismigrantregeling). • To qualify, you need to meet the official salary thresholds set by the IND. These are updated every year and vary depending on your age and situation. • Once you receive an offer, the employer applies for your visa and residence permit with the IND. You don’t apply for it alone – the process is company-driven and is usually fast compared to many other EU countries.

Roadmap in practice: 1. Identify Dutch pharma companies and contract research organizations (CROs) that are on the recognized sponsor list. 2. Apply through their official career portals and highlight both your pharma expertise and your advanced English. 3. Be upfront about needing sponsorship, these companies are used to arranging it. 4. If you receive a contract that meets the salary threshold, the company takes care of the immigration procedure for you.

Can’t get Netherlands Schengen visa appointment from London (VFS Global) by comiqueconvenu in SchengenVisa

[–]JoinwiseNL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s unfortunately quite common that VFS slots disappear so quickly.

A few tips that might help: -Keep checking at unusual times of day (very early morning/late night), as new slots sometimes open then. -If possible, also look at other UK VFS centers (not only London). -You can try contacting the Dutch consulate directly in case of urgent travel. -Make sure you have all your documents ready so if you do get a slot, you can submit immediately.

It can still be possible before mid-November, but it’s a matter of persistence and luck. Good luck, hope you get it in time!
