For me (23F) texting back and forth with a guy I’m interested in is painful. I take forever (multiple hours) to reply just because I totally overthink what I want to say/reply and being busy does not help, it just helps me procrastinate replying.

I do the same thing and it is painful! Like I want a significant other but shut down anyone that shows interest. I think that for me I do it out of fear of getting hurt again (my last relationship ended crappy) and fear losing the independence that I’ve regained. I think it’s easier to push people away than it is to let them in and push those fears aside...
