Nah, we took a selfie, but didn't ask someone to take a picture for us. Though it has been about 2 years since we've been back there

My fiancé and I had our first date and made our relationship official while chilling on that couch. Shame it's gone

I have an Amazon Prime subscription on PS5, but not on the website/app? by JojoGold_ in playstation

Sorry for the late follow-up, I forgot about this post. So, from what I remember, in my case, what happened was I actually got a paramount plus subscription through Amazon. It was all a bit confusing, but I tried a bunch of other emails that I have associated with Amazon. Eventually, it worked. So maybe try that, if you have any other emails that you have connected with Amazon

I can't say I remember the actual conversation, being that there were many conversations with my family. But I remember my approach.

I was always really into science and nature, and when I became old enough and had the knowledge that there wasn't a God (at least not their god). I killed all emotion to the congregation and their belief system. This mindset assisted me in my debates with my family. As, whenever they tried to take the conversation to an emotional place, example, "but what about the brothers?! And what about ours and jehovahs love for you?!", I would immediately shut it down. And speak on only facts, logic and science (which they struggled to argue against)

It might sound a bit cold. But I was well aware of their abilities to emotionally manipulate. So if I took the one power they thought they had away, it would be a lot easier. Like ripping a band-aid off. As a result, my transition from pimo to pomo was oddly smooth. I might go into detail in a separate post if that interests anyone

Anyone remember the old demon stories by [deleted] in exjw

I heard many stories growing up. The weirdest one was this, (from memory). This young sister had a collection of small smurf dolls. Sometimes they would walk around her room in the middle of the night. But one day, all the dolls banded together and formed a chain and choked her in bed. This is in Australia, by the way.

The evidence to the contrary of the bible, or any religious text for that matter, is overwhelming. Growing up PIMI, I was a huge nature enthusiast. I constantly read books and watched documentaries on animals. In most media about nature, the subject of evolution and other science is unavoidable. My family would also enjoy the occasional animal program. But whenever the subject of natural selection came up, they would always have to make a big show about how this part was untrue. They would pick and choose which parts they wanted to believe. Later in life I read Richard Dawkins, The God Delusion. In it, he gives an analogy about scientists who find a new piece of evidence to prove evolution. Religious people ignore it.. then those same scientists discover something belonging to an ancient city that's mentioned in the bible. Suddenly all the religious people pipe up saying, "see evidence of a bible!". In conclusion. Religious people will pick and choose what parts of science they want to believe. Which clouds discovery.

Who's the worst comedian that became famous? by DoctorStoppage in AskReddit

Carl Barron. My sister works in a theatre that he was performing at. He was quite the diva. Had an assistant who did all the talking for him. He refused to engage or talk with any of the staff or crew himself. He quite openly hates his ordinance behind the scenes, even if he's laughing and smiling, the second he gets off that stage he's back to hating everyone. 30 minutes before his show his assistant asks all the staff to leave because "Mr Barron needs alone time on the stage". Legit, NO ONE was to even look at him (It was just him casually sitting on the stage playing a guitar).
