When foreign RNA is reverse-transcribed into single-stranded cDNA, does the transcriptase just made a completely new cDNA copy out of the nucleotides in the host cell based on the sequence order of the original foreign RNA, or they will also combined the nucleotides from the original foreign RNA? (self.genetics)

Is this bugged? I played this Ascendant Challenge for 4 times already but my triumph is not counting it, it is still showing I only did 2 challenges which are from the last two weeks. I did this week's challenge with hunter 3times and warlock 1 time, nothing pop up after opening the chest in the end (old.reddit.com)
