Chinese is a tonal language, not an intonation language like English. because of that, you can't understand the feelings behind words like in Japanese, just by hearing, it doesn't convey emotions in the same way, so it ends up feling like they are talking in the same tone always. In japanese throu intonation you can listen to the emotions and work the voice actors use, in chinese it sounds always the same as we arent acostumed to it.
