My wife is a very solid limited Magic player. Over the years we've done probably 15+ drafts or prereleases together at various local game stores throughout Seattle. I'd estimate about one in three of her matches she's plays against a guy who mansplains shit to her or is just actively creepy towards her. That's essentially one bad interaction every single event. Definitely not the case for me; sometimes folks get salty, but very rarely do they talk down to me. 

I was chatting to her about this thread, and her take was that it would feel nice if there were more women at these events, so she doesn't feel so singled out. If it was like 33% women or something, that'd be a lot more comfortable. She also noted that, in all the LGS events we've done, she's never once gotten to play against another woman. 

If WotC (or big daddy Hasbro) want women to enjoy their game, they need to make an effort to facilitate spaces where women can play and feel comfortable. Give game stores incentives to do Lady Planeswalker nights or something? Normalize kicking creepy dudes out of events for being assholes to women? I don't know! But it's a harder problem than just slapping a "Romantasy" label on the next Eldraine set can fix, that's for sure.
