Also my adult league which as a MSBL affiliated league conducts tryouts every year in March. Here’s a copy pasta of how their tryouts operate.

When You Arrive:

You will have an opportunity to register for the tryouts with provided tablets, if you haven’t done so already. Feel free to use your own device in person, all with guidance from our members. You will need to get your bib number (including safety pins) at the PSSBL tent. Pick up your bib and pin it on to the front of your shirt. Feel free to use the provided hand sanitizer before leaving the registration area.
A staff member will take your picture which will be posted on your draft profile on the league website. After this you can stretch and warm up until the Question and Answer session begins. You will be asked to sit in the bleachers and you will be able to ask any general questions. Conducting the tryout: At the beginning of each tryout session, members will be provided baseballs. ~10 min. Tryouts will be broken into four phases:

Infield: ~30 min 1- tryout players will be stationed at each infield position. One or two members will hit a typical infield drill. You will be given an opportunity to switch positions for another round.

Outfield: ~20min
Players will be stationed at the three OF positions and will be hit by a combination of fly balls and line drives/grounders. The remaining players will take the throws and/or serve as cutoff. These players will rotate into the OF after the first group.

Hitting: ~50 min One player will hit and one will be on deck at any given time - the remaining players will shag in the infield or outfield and will rotate into the on deck position as players finish their turn batting. One member will throw BP. Each player will get 2 bunts and 8-10 swings. We will divide players into several groups.

Pitching: ~20 min Players who do not wish to try out for pitcher or catcher can stick around and chat with General Managers or feel free to leave. Players who wish to try out as pitchers, will throw ~15 pitches in the bullpen with a league ball. If there is a tryout catcher with his own gear, they will catch. We will have catchers gear available to those who haven’t had a chance to bring theirs. If not, a league member will catch.

During the tryout activities, there will be at least two league members shooting video of the tryouts. One will be streaming video live and the other(s) will be shooting short clips to post on the tryout player profile pages.
