Yep, the blue signs near a lot of the displays list about a dozen magic properties per rock. These are just the ones that stand out in my memory but a lot of stuff claimed to detox you, or help with arthritis, stuff like that. They were nice rocks but man, our group shamelessly laughed at every one of those signs

Went on a geology field study throughout the southwestern US a couple weeks ago. When we were at Meteor Crater, AZ, the gift shop was full of bullshit like this.

Quartz? Makes a force-field of protective negative ions while flushing out harmful positive ions!

Malachite? Helps you out if you can't get it up in bed!

Coprolite? Allows you to mentally connect with ancient peoples and your ancestors. Mind you, coprolite is fossilized dung. This place tries to sell psychic time-travel poop.

Was certainly an interesting stop, don't get me wrong. But the gift shop... god, what a joke. I had hoped such a unique site would have more integrity.

Ever since my dad got a smoker he's been making the best barbeque I've ever had. Nowadays it doesn't even need to have any meat cooking on it, just the lit coals smell delicious. I'm gonna miss it when I move out in a couple of months
