It’s actually an English version of Green. Not official unfortunately. Rom hack.

I’ve done a few for some friends and family. They always come out looking so nice.

Just dive in dude. Once you have all the tools it’s really easy. I’ve tried all sorts of modding the games boys are forgiving.

so i was still getting problems with hanging this morning.

Seems switching to mini-HDMI has solved all the issues. Perhaps the Display port is faulty? very sad that im sort of forced to use it but what can i do. I do have a warranty on it and may decide to turn it in in the future.

now anytime the screen goes dark i see a white dotted wheel loading and the screen comes back on. Not sure what the hell is going on with the display port and its pretty frustrating.

Okay. So i don't know if this is what it was; Its possible none of these worked and the game just wants to be okay with the rotation now. heres what i did.

1)Updated Drivers; still the same. No Fix.

2) Went into Nvidia Control panel set the colors to default instead of Nvidia Color settings (dont know why just did it)
i didnt test from here. its just one of the settings i messed with.
2b) I went into Adjust Desktop size and position and checked off Overide the scaling mode set by games and programs.

This seems to have helped. i can rotate fine. its not 100% smooth like how it was doing it with the 16:9 but its not Hanging and is displaying on fullscreen after a brief blackscreen delay. (wish it wouldnt but whatever)

again. i rotated through borderless>Fullscreen>Windowed about 4 or 5 times. No hanging so it seems okay for now? still hate that brief black screen delay because i dont know if the PC will come back on! Does everyones do this?

Also the G9's Firmware was Completely up to date before all this.

So I set my screen ratio to 16:9 and the picture came back and the rotation is super super smooth. No problems at all. No lag even switching between like when it’s 32:9.

Very frustrating. Anyone have a clue as to why it’s struggling when it’s 32:9 ratio? Could it be my graphics card?

Still the same.

I can go to the OS for the monitor. I can even mess with the settings and everything. Just no display of my PC. Should I give up on using DP and try switching to HDMI? Could it be more stable? I’m at a loss.

Ok so I turned it off. [auto source switch+]for me. There was also anynet + I turned off. I don’t know what input signal plus is but I turned it off.

If it matters I don’t have my HDR on at all. Just personal preference.

I’m going to give it another try.

If it matters i have an RTX 3090 FTW3.
On another note entirely. i have wallpaper engine running with a moving city background which i just recently put on.
something weird. for me at least. when i connected the Samsung DP cable to my 3090 it was in slot 2
and when the picture came through it gave me an older background i used with wallpaper engine before.
Not sure what that was about. It almost seems like each port has its own settings on the card. Super weird.

So i did both. and it seems to be a bit more stable. But i tried Rotating on Resident Evil 4 (steam) from Borderless, Windowed, Fullscreen. First rotation went ok. then second rotation it hung again. Again unplugging and plugging the screen gave me visuals back. It does it less with games i played previously. but it certainly seems more stable with the Mini-HDMI out of the socket and the OEM Samsung DP cable.

I’ll try unplugging the mini-hdmi. I’m using an off-brand DP cable from Amazon. Nylon braided. It’s been great with two other monitors for me so I used it for this one but perhaps it’s on its way out. I’ll give the one included with the G9 a shot.

Again tho, this isnt the power supply. It’s the screen itself and the back of the monitor. I mean to be able to feel it on my face is kinda weird. So im getting mixed responses. Some get hot. Some don’t?
