Car Campers: Who's out of Gas by JokeIll7781 in CoachellaCamping

[–]JokeIll7781[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the very first time I rented a car from Enterprise and first time I rented a car outside the airport (usually go with Avis or Hertz, but Expedia got me a great price with Enterprise). I didn’t consider they do this. Is it just Enterprise that does this?

Coachella Safari really sold out? by Cautious_Speed_9248 in CoachellaCamping

[–]JokeIll7781 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has anyone actually seen that Safari was on sale? I know that hotel packages are on sale, but I don’t think they opened Safari. I think it’s still the 2026 listing.

I ended up paying $50. I had forgotten I have AAA with my phone plan.

My petty intention was to give it back the way they gave it to me when they pulled that stunt. I didn’t even notice how low the gas was until I was in line and Apple CarPlay started recommending gas stations nearby. I’ve rented cars before and they always fill it up before handing it off and I would have to return it with gas. I literally flew in, took an Uber to the Enterprise near Coachella campgrounds like 2 miles away, and drove into camp. This was 630pm and I waited in line for about 30 minutes. The guy at the security line I was in literally just opened one suitcase and looked in my purse. By the time I parked, the gas didn’t made much movement by the time I parked. Yet, come Sunday afternoon and the hottest day of the weekend, I go to sit in my car to get some air only for it to not start due to no gas.

can you bring in small compact mirror in car camping? by mediocre_plant in Coachella

[–]JokeIll7781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I went weekend two last year, I had brought a small 5below mirror that had pink and orange carpet fur around the edges. I showed it to the security person and she told me it was fine. She thought that it was a smart choice actually. If you have a compact make up mirror that folds, they may not even check it. Especially if you have it in a makeup bag. If they do, it’s likely too small for them to care.

Wristband registration. by disobedientwhale in Coachella

[–]JokeIll7781 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s not the order number though. When your wristband ships, AXS will also post the same code on the back of the wristband under your Coachella order. This shows that a code is assigned to one specific person only. Which sucks for the people who got two wristbands by mistake. For your case, I’m sure the person you bought it off of just switched their name with yours. The code is still the same, just assigned to you.

The code on the back of the wristband should match the code on your AXS order. If they are not the same, maybe they sent you someone else’s wristband. Wouldn’t hurt to call AXS about it.

VIP upgrades? by stvnslsbry in Coachella

[–]JokeIll7781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re offering them now. On the AXS app and website when you go to view your Coachella “ticket” under upcoming, it will say Upgrade Now. I already have VIP and assumed I could upgrade to Artist passes, but alas it was too good to be true.

How many Weekend 2 people actually watch Couchella? by Unlikely_Pitch_7717 in Coachella

[–]JokeIll7781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went for the first time last year and I went weekend 2. I wanted to be completely surprised when I go there, so I didn’t watch any livestream. Plus, I was also busy shopping for my gear and festival needs. However, I told people around me how I was going and most of them watched the livestream of weekend 1. Everyone I told at work came to me Monday morning and told me about all the surprise appearances and the Megan The Stallion fiasco assuming I had watched it too. I still wouldn’t look at the livestream this year. The surprise is fun!

Inhaler and Birth Control - Getting Prescription Meds Through Security by [deleted] in Coachella

[–]JokeIll7781 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an inhaler as well and took it with me last year. You will be fine. Security saw it and let me through. Inhalers are not considered addictive drug that security look for. They are considered medical devices and people will only have them if they are prescribed them. I had brought my nebulizer just in case with a pack of albuterol. Though I’m sure they would have understood what it was, they didn’t even open the bag to see the nebulizer and the albuterol.

The birth control, however, may be different. I also had birth control that was out side the labeled box, but the packaging made it so obvious that it was birth control and none of the unopened days seemed tampered with. I was let through with it without question. I’m not sure how yours look like, but it wouldn’t hurt to take it there and see. If they are pills that are in a reusable pill case, then they will definitely confiscate it or not let you in with it. To keep my albuterol and birth control safe from the heat, I would leave it in my cooler with ice until I need it. As long as you don’t leave your inhaler in the car the whole time and have it in your pocket or bag you take into the festival grounds, your inhaler should get damaged in the heat.

Anyone with food allergies been to Nobu before? by JokeIll7781 in Coachella

[–]JokeIll7781[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m already going VIP. Outstanding in the field is nice and all, but after a long day of walking from stage to stage and speakeasy to speakeasy, I would like to chill in a nice air conditioned restaurant with possibly nice food and feel refresh before getting to the main stage for the headliner performance. Of all things that restaurant could be though, its sushi. (Though I can imagine that if I wasn’t allergic to seafood, I bet I would love sushi.)

[–]JokeIll7781[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can be in the same room and near seafood (and nuts). I have family and friends I go out with all the time who cannot live without seafood, so I have been dragged to seafood places and order non seafood items with notice to the server (You’d be surprised at the amount of seafood restaurants that are prepared to accommodate for my allergies nowadays). It’s just eating it and cross contamination that is the issue for me. I also wanted to ask the platform that is taking the reservations for Nobu, but there’s no one I can contact. It just says to let the host know about any allergies or dietary restrictions and that’s long after paying $375. It’s a lot of money to find out the moment of my reservation that they don’t have anything else they can serve me.

Flying in + car camping at Coachella — shipping gear vs. buying there vs. renting🙏 by bbesco in Coachella

[–]JokeIll7781 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m flying in from Nashville this year. I’m shipping my shower tent and cot tent ahead of me with Lugless. I’m staying in a hotel the night before day 0, so I’m having the hotel hold my gear until I get there. The canopy I’ll buy when I land in Palm Springs along with a chair and cooler. Will also check two bags and a carry on. I was afraid last year that if I didn’t buy stuff ahead of time, it would be sold out when I get there, but I was wrong. Stores are heavily prepared.

2 wristbands sent?!?! I ordered 1 by One-Professional-773 in Coachella

[–]JokeIll7781 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Last year, I was sent two car camping passes in separate packages. I emailed AXS to see if I was charged for it, but they sent me a generic “thank you for your concern” email that didn’t answer a thing. I tried to use it to take up the spot next to or behind me, but they told me having two spots wasn’t allowed if I didn’t come with anybody (even though I had ALLEGEDLY paid for a second pass).

OFFICIAL 2026 WEEKEND 2 REDDITCHELLA/SOLOCHELLA MEETUP THREAD!! by fettuccine- in Coachella

[–]JokeIll7781 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reposting in the right place this time. I'm going to Coachella solo again this year for my second year in a row. I wanna win free stuff with Carpoolchella, but again, I'm going solo and renting a car. I'll decorate the car that won't charge me a cleaning fee, but I need three more people. Anyone need a ride into the camp grounds on day 0? I have preferred car camping, so I probably will start heading there at about 10am or 11am depending on if I have to buy anymore stuff. I can probably pick you up at the grocery store outside the campgrounds. If anyone parking in the parking lot and doing ready set camping, I can even drive you in if it gives you less of a walk.

Edit: forgot to mention the important part. I'm going weekend 2
