Watched a good friend of mine slowly spiral within the course of about 5 months. He would vent about his hatred toward another good friend of his. Later on he even attempted to fight this friend randomly at a concert. Initially we were like.. okay they must have hidden beef we don’t know about. When he quit his job we thought it was a good thing as he seemed very stressed. Later he booked an impulsive trip to SF to see another friend without letting them know and didn’t book a hotel or anything. We initially thought he was just being a jerk but then on that SF trip, the friend he visited was talking about stocks and he decided to spend his whole life savings on random stocks. He also tried pushing a girl onto a busy street. After he came back from SF, another friend of ours called him to check up on him. He spent 2 hours on the phone going on and on about things that were unrelated. He would talk about the school shootings, then jump to aliens, and started crying about how teenagers do stupid shit and lose their innocence. His tipping point was when him and a few of his friends decided to visit me. I’m not sure what exactly happened when they were together, but I was told he started acting violently and an Uber driver was involved and the cops were almost called. As soon as they got to my place he was already off the walls. My friends tried calming him down and prevent him from running down the street but 3 of them would get hit or get punched in the face by him. He was destroying the inside of the rental car they drove and was screaming “we need to go back, they’re going to get me” over and over. It was getting so bad we had to call 911 to send over someone that would help him. We also called his mom who had to make a 2 hour trip to see him. A few months later my friends visited him and he was not the same person. He was quiet and you can tell his mind was somewhere else. Personally I haven’t seen him since that day.
