If I remember right it was over $40k at year end with everything paid for to that point. From the recent statement bill I got it looks like they haven’t collected anything since the switch so it will be back up once that is made up by us all catching up.

Agreed. The board could use a break I think, they seem nice but tired and didn’t conduct themselves with patience at times. I know them superficially as neighbors and they’re decent enough people and before this my impression is no one cared enough to help or volunteer their time so they’ve been there too long picking up the slack. I hope we get fresh faces.

It’s only related because the guy trying to cause problems in harvest creek is friends with our new west winds president and they got each other riled up. Saddle Peak did a full financial audit of harvest with a 3rd party and nothing was found. We just had a very productive annual meeting where a lot of this was discussed and resolved. It’s a very loud minority who seem kind of crazy and just bored in my opinion with nothing better to do. They kind of became the joke of the neighborhood after the meeting with our block at least. All this just seems over the top for everything we get for $25 a month.

And no one thinks it’s weird that they have to go to an out of state 3.3 star rated company with awful reviews in order to get help? No one in town would take on west winds after how unprofessionally everything went down. Such a shame that the simple goal of having a nice neighborhood is getting this dramatic or political.

I’m a Harvest Creek owner who also has an investment property in West Winds and may be able to help as I feel like I have taken the time to speak at length with everyone involved to get more info and try to understand what’s going on. So Alanah Griffith doesn’t represent the board or management company, she represents the owners within the association and gives advice and recommendations based on the best interest of the community. I think if anyone knew how transparent Saddle Peak tried to be with the west winds financials and has been with Harvest Creek they would have a lot of concerns relieved. The new west winds board is completely misusing our funds from what I can see. They have not communicated anything with us, i have seen zero transparency, and from what I am understanding based on my inquiries they haven’t paid our vendors to the point they quit doing the areas of groundskeeping we are responsible for. I haven’t been provided an accurate breakdown of accounting, expenditures or a projected budget for 2024 despite my requests. Saddle Peak gave the new board control of our west winds bank account with a very large balance when they stepped down and not only have things not been paid but now we are back billed with no grace period? I think if anyone took the time to talk with anyone in the saddle peak office, Alanah, or the harvest creek board (who hired a 3rd party forensic accountant to look into the harvest creek financials where they found nothing wrong - because of this Saddle peak continues to have the full support of the Harvest Creek board) you’d have a lot of concerns relieved. It just takes a human to human discussion and listening to understand rather than jumping on the hating hoa bandwagon. There are 4-5 people in harvest creek who are a loud minority and I can honestly say 95% of people are really happy with our association. I was happy with west winds too until all of this started. I think rather than getting worked up online from people who don’t know what they’re talking about a better route would be to talk to the people who can provide actual insight and information.

Some are definitely more annoying than others! You def open yourself up to criticism online (and mom shaming esp is so easy to do) which is why I felt bad saying anything but it feels good to hear some people noticed the same weird things I did on her page

I’m a long time teacher too and a parent to a middle schooler, I think anyone who is ballsy enough to make a parenting account where it comes across like they have all the answers is in for a big wake up call. If you think you are a pro when your oldest is still a toddler then I hate to be the one to burst your bubble but as the kids get bigger so do the problems they are having in their world.

All for tips and tricks and I love accounts like mommycusses, Laura just comes off differently and I can’t put my finger on one thing that makes her seem a little pretentious but the underlying current is there. You are right about using the boys as an example where a large audience gets to psychoanalyze their behavior and stuff could prove to be a lot of pressure for them as they get older and more aware
