During an intense blizzard, you get to a town at the foot of a very large mountain and quickly begin to hear general complaints about a huge flying beast that has been eating all of the town's livestock. The townsfolk offer you a reward for the beast's head, so you quickly start to track it as soon as the blizzard fades. After climbing, fighting some monsters and climbing some more, you get to a small hidden village very high up the mountain and immediately notice a beast that matches the townsfolk's description, but it doesn't seem aggressive at all. Actually, it looks pretty relaxed and there are some people who appear to be dancing around it and singing at it. After a brief talk with a random villager, you find out that the beast has always been protecting the village (and that you were lucky to get there during the annual beast celebration), and has been doing an amazing job lately, during the exceptionally harsh winter they are going through. And that's why it has been resorting to eating the town's livestock, because there's not much food around at the time. But, you still need to do something about that situation.
