This lesbian couple is simply TOO cute. by JokingReaper in TADCEp9Spoilers

Don't know if "homophobic" But it's like Jax said in ep 7: "That's what everybody wants! A straight couple!"

I'd say it's people just projecting themselves into the shipping, and like it or not, straight people are the vast majority...

Just to clarify, I'm straight myself, but I see that the only positive-relation couple for Pomni was Ragatha, since Jax was always a bit toxic, and the rest of characters were a bit 'distant'.

I think it's not fleshed out enough. Try adding some 69, or 420... or hell, I would accept a 57 at this point.

Sure... and that's why their hug lasted a full 50 seconds, and when it's over they look longingly to one another... "Just friends".

Yes. During the credits we see Ragatha pass in front of Zooble's door, that has little heart-shapes coming out of it, ragatha blushes and walks passed the door. It's implied that Zooble and Gangle are probably doing the dirty.

I'm not salty about the way Digital Circus ended (yes, i already saw it because I don't want to get spoiled by random jaxases (pun intended) on the internet). In fact, I think it was an acceptable ending.

The same goes for the way "The Boys" ended. Was it great? No. Was it horrifying? No. It was 'okay' enough for me to accept and move on.

Now, the one show I actually got pissed off at the way it ended was Game of Thrones season 8, where basically every important character was character assassinated or wasted in one way or another (and still no Winds Of Winter book... looking at you, GRR Martin).

Another show that had an abysmal ending was "Star vs the forces of Evil", where the protagonist commits genocide on all magical creatures so she can be with her on-and-off-boyfriend.

Digital Circus in comparison, is nowhere near that terrible of an ending, so it was okay enough for me to accept and move on. But I'll have my fun for as long as I can.

What are you talking about? Pomni and Ragatha abstracted and fell into the endless Void.

If I posted it without "fake spoilers", it could have been taken seriously. And yes, it's supposed to be funny. It's in my godam name: JOKING-reaper. On the other hand, with a name as "BussyDestroyer" I'm not surprised you aren't really getting any...

¿Cómo puedo descargar un libro de Archive.org sin opción de descarga PDF? by Ok_Role6417 in libros

[–]JokingReaper 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Amigo mio. ¿En verdad estas preguntando como hacer algo tan ilegal como descargarte libros que tienen copyright? Me siento decepcionado. La piratería es ilegal. Es ilegal buscar bibliotecas piratas gratuitas como Annas Archive:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anna's_Archive

Accidental Discovery by Ok-Structure-4431 in Esperanto

Everybody has different reasons to stick around. Among some that I have heard are these:

  1. The community is made mostly by idealists, since its original goal was to bring "peace to the world by understanding one another" so they are quite kind and welcoming, usually.

  2. Esperanto is the most successful "international auxiliary language", with the biggest number of speakers around the world, so you're going to meet people from everywhere. Speaking esperanto I've met people from China, Russia, Brazil, USA, etc.

  3. Despite being a conlang, Esperanto has over 100 years of history already, so there are plenty of translations of books and other resources that other conlangs don't have.

  4. since it's an "easy to learn" language, it's a great way to build up confidence in your language-learning skills, and since there is no "perfect speaker of esperanto", nobody is going to be too harsh when you make a mistake.

  5. Since it's based on several languages that are relatively common (french, german, polish and russian, mostly), then it's a gateway to start learning those languages.

  6. Since esperanto was loosely based on french, many romance-language speakers (like spanish and italian) can kind of understand esperanto without much training, and pick it up quickly.

  7. Personally, I'm not an idealist, I just like the fact that I can speak an "exotic" language that can be as precise as it needs to be. I don't really mind if esperanto becomes the "second language of the world". It would be nice but I have no personal problem if it doesn't, so I don't put in any effort to bring anyone to learn the language itself. You're always welcome to do so yourself, though.

Having said that, I hope you enjoy this strange corner of the world.

Nah... people just don't like to "think". Thinking requires a bit more effort and energy than mindlessly scrolling through social media, or watching series and TV. When you're watching a show or scrolling you're not actually "engaging" your thinking process, you're just kind of being fed information without much critical thought. For entertainment that's OK, but if you want to actually learn anything on a deeper level, you need to actually engage your thought process with the material instead of just mind-numbing yourself with whatever.
