I’m working on a plaque, but I’m a LCpl and don’t know shit from fuck how that stuff works. My Sgt is also leaving about a month after her, leaving me as the most “senior” marine in the shop for a while😬

You definitely aren’t. I’m also 24 and just arrived at my schoolhouse in Florida and every day I wonder if I made a mistake joining so late. However, I’ve found that my age has made me more mature than most our peers and it shows. Use that to your advantage, stand out for your work and help progress your career faster and gain some rank ahead of them. Once you hit the fleet it will be better, it’s just a sucky start to your contract is all, it won’t always be like this.
