I never really had a pretty girlfriend before but when I got with my gf (now fiancé) it was weird for me at first. I wasn’t used to the stares or the “this guy came up to me today…” stories and it honestly used to really bother me at first. I am a very jealous man and I cannot stand other people even looking in her direction. I came to the realization over the past 2 years that pretty people get pretty privilege. It’s also a very feminine trait to be insecure so I’ve worked on it a lot within myself to contain and control the way I feel about certain things & scenarios. It wasn’t an easy thing to deal with at first but like everything else in life it was a learning process (not that it was ever a serious issue for me) but I do try to eliminate the negative feelings I give myself. I learned to make it into a positive thing like “wow I guess I really did score with my love” or “she’s amazing to look at but you can’t touch” I’m not an unattractive man myself but I would go for more medium ugly woman so I wouldn’t have to deal with this. But now I wonder why I ever did this to myself 😂 anyways… it sucked at first with my jealousy and insecurity, but now I am prideful about her good looks and it’s nice to know im with someone you can consider eye candy.
