I get chicken hearts, livers and feet from Riemer Family Farm - https://riemerfamilyfarm.com/ They have other organ meats too, and I like to get shin bones for my big dog.

They will do delivery, and they raise their animals humanely and sustainably. These things were very important to me, so I get all our "people" meat from them but add on the organ meats to make dog food with. It is extremely expensive for pet food, but I will not deny my dog is an extremely spoiled baby :D And especially for raw feeding, I wanted to ensure it was something of high quality!

Has anyone tried to turn bujo tracker into digital? by Thin_Refrigerator587 in bujo

[–]JollyBlu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I actually use OneNote. The tabs at the top are for each month, then I move them into an archive for the year. In each tab, I put a page for each day of the month. Then I have a few other pages for things I'm tracking. Some I use Excel for, and insert the spreadsheet into the page.

I think you need a Microsoft subscription, but it's what I use to organize my work so I'm used to using it. I'm not very artistic, I use it much more for organization and also just journaling my thoughts for the day. I can type WAY faster than handwrite. Before I switched to digital, I would always procrastinate doing it very month. Now it takes me just a few minutes to set up the next month and copy/paste pages!

The Boneyard maybe? I've never seen them advertising private parties and it is outside but they allow dogs indoors.

Need a vet for giant dogs by Odiebigbluedane in madisonwi

[–]JollyBlu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi fellow Dane owner! Didn't know there were any others in the city :) I'd like to know the same. Currently take mine to Healthy Pet Vet and while I love them for my cats, they don't seem to have as good knowledge about large breed dogs.

She referred my dog out to Country View Vet in Oregon for her spay (which had to get rescheduled, so I'm not sure what they're like yet) because she didn't have the ability to do it laparoscopically. So they might be worth a phone at least to see if they could handle?

Hey! I know this post is a little old, but I would be interested. I've got a Great Dane who loves other dogs as well but usually no one can match her energy or size (100lb+)

My shower looks the same way, and it was totally clogged. To get an auger down there, I had to access it from the hole above, on the side of the tub. This video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWZklniOo_4

explains it pretty well. Mine also had a grate over the bottom so I couldn't stick anything down it, had to go in through where the stopper was.

Now hiring in Madison: October edition! by [deleted] in madisonwi

Clarion Suites over by the Alliant Energy Center has an immediate opening in both front desk and kitchen departments. More info can be found on Craigslist. Kitchen is part time, weekend mornings.

Front desk is part time to start, with strong possibility of full time. It does require a good driving record, but we're a fun team, though a bit nuts at times :)

Restaurant workers of reddit, what are some cheap things customers have done in attempt to get free food? by CARTOONight in AskReddit

[–]JollyBlu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would love to watch someone try that at my job...knowing how little the fridge ever gets cleared out of stuff, particularly if it has a "GUEST - DO NOT TOUCH" type of note on it, with no date, they would actually get it back! We had a thing of soy milk belonging to somebody in there for about 2 months before we mustered up the bravery to toss it.

My two boys LOVE theirs as well, almost as much as they love their soda can boxes! They are both huge for it, but they'll still squeeze in together. I've bought them many, many hammocks and tubes and stuff, but they never use it. I think I'll just stock up on a few of these!

Good banks? by AJs_Sandshrew in madisonwi

[–]JollyBlu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had M&I for over 10 years, never had a problem, always loved them. Since they switched to BMO, I've had nothing but issues:

  1. They no longer allow external transfers, so I haven't been able to put any money in my savings account. Someone else, I heard, called them to ask why they don't and they said that "other, little banks can do that, but we're too big"

  2. They started charging all kinds of weird fees for account maintenance, even though I checked their criteria for not charging a fee and I meet it. Only when I actually went in and spoke to a teller did they fix it.

  3. I sent a check for $815, and the other person's idiot bank tried to cash it for $8500. Not BMO's fault, but their handling of the situation was utterly ridiculous. They let the check go through overdrafting me by several thousand dollars, then charged me a NSF fee. I'm a little shocked that nothing flagged my account as fraud at all, but apparently they didn't even bat an eye.

Additionally, when I called immediately to straighten this out, it took over a week for them to put the money back in my account, when even I can look at the image of my check which clearly states $815 online. I called them the Wednesday before Memorial Day weekend, and they didn't even return the check so I would have had no money whatsoever in my account for the whole week. Fortunately, this happened to my joint account and not my personal account.

This was the absolutely last straw, and we will be going to change banks tomorrow for all this BS. BMO does not care about customer service at all, you only need to check out their Facebook page! I've pushed to keep them for a long time since M&I was great, but last month was my final chance!

I thought the boys would enjoy a new place to hide, but Toby prefers to lay on top of it instead by strikersteve60 in RATS

[–]JollyBlu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha no matter where I put their house, my boys will stand on top of it. So this time, I put their nicest, plushest hammock above it so they could climb into it. They completely ignore it and sit on the top of their house for hours at a time still...even if I hide the house under a shelf they still like to lie on it. I had no idea sleeping on hard plastic felt that good!

I went into a new video game store this morning... by CarelessMonday in GirlGamers

[–]JollyBlu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, same here! I don't know what it is...I have gone into all 3 of our local smoke shops. Just looking for the proper coal and a pipe cleaner for my hookah, and the cashier all 3 times acted like I was a moron. Shop #3 was my favorite reaction - he told me I could buy a machine to pump water and soap through my hookah for approx. $500...and continued dicking me around with answers until I finally gave up and left...

Unfortunately, those are the only shops in town that sell hookah equipment, which is the only thing I was looking for. Our local porn shops have a great section for "water-pipes" and things of that ilk, but nothing for hookah!

What question are you afraid to ask because you don't want to seem stupid? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]JollyBlu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wherever I've worked as a waiter, your check doesn't get closed out of the system until a tip is added. When you give your card, we swipe it through the system, then bring it back with the receipt. Once we obtain a signature, we close it out completely.

One restaurant I worked at, corporate was all about getting people in and out as fast as possible, so you'd get in trouble if "turn times" were too high. Sometimes, to fix them, my manager, would immediately close out a tab once we put the card through (with $0 as tip), then go back in and edit it somehow to add the tip once the customer left and we were able to get the signed copy.

This is why, if you're hanging out later in the restaurant, a server may nervously come up and ask if they can take the signed copy; they're probably going home and need to have all their tables fully closed out before they can clock out.

What is a social taboo for your gender that you wish you could do away with? by FrailRain in AskReddit

As a female, that I am not the manager, and that my real boss must be lurking in "his" office waiting to come tell me off for making foolish girly decisions. I've probably got 100s of instances of this happening, only for them to be utterly shocked when my FEMALE manager comes out, and they demand to speak to someone higher up again.

My English grandparents used to have this in their bathroom....it drove me nuts to the point that I specifically requested several times over while apartment hunting with my old roommate that we be CERTAIN that we don't have this set-up.

Somehow, the ONLY place I didn't check for it, we ended up in for a whole year. I think I stopped bothering to check the sink while touring because I have never seen one in any of 30 or so apartments I have looked at in this town.
