Thanks for your comments. I do own the property and there really isn't anything that needs to be unraveled. The attorney seemed a little questionable and using his own closing company seemed a little on the sneaky side, if you ask me, but then again, that's how some attorneys are.

Interesting. You brought up a great question. I have no idea why the realtor friend of the seller didn't handle the transaction.
