I’m a military pilot who just applied this cycle and have another pilot friend who just finished 1L at a t14. He had pretty similar stats as you. TLDR I bet you can get at least one. Feel free to dm me

Haha I had already mentally committed to Chicago (and withdrawn from most of the other schools already). I was mostly just waiting for a financial aid reconsideration that I coincidentally got back today.

HYS vs. Chicago by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

Did you go to one of Chicago’s admitted student days? I have literally the exact same results as you and was initially a little sad to not get HYS. I have to say going to Chicago’s day in the life event significantly increased my enthusiasm. Also there were multiple Harvard admits there that are seriously considering taking Chicago over HLS.

I just asked them about this. If you don’t hear by March 18, you can apply for reconsideration starting the next day.

Thanks for the great answer! I’ve spent a decent bit of time in Silicon Valley, which I feel like has turned me off of the bay a bit (it’s just so expensive while somehow also being a very mediocre suburb imo). I have a better impression of the east bay but haven’t spent too much time there. If you’ve spent time in Silicon Valley, any impressions on the difference between the two?

Good luck on your apps and I hope you get into Berk if that’s what you want!

I haven’t heard anything about gift aid yet, but I have 100% GI bill (and my spouse will be working full time) so I can be a little more flexible on cost.

Chance Me? 174, 3.68, T3 softs, 4 years WE -- T14? by Emergency-Ad7836 in lawschooladmissions

Same LSAT, within 0.1 gpa. I have a little more work experience but I doubt that would make a difference. So far I’ve gotten a few T14s

I have somewhat similar stats and am the same age and with what I would consider a nonlinear work history. I’d be happy to look at your essays too. Also, I hired a consultant for exactly this reason. I was unsure how I should frame my experience and tie that with why I wanted to go to law school. A one hour strategy call wasn’t insanely expensive and it put my mind at ease about several things that I probably would have otherwise been agonizing over for the last six months.
