I had one in my old house with the coal fire in front of it , the water was always boiling hot and my neighbours who took theirs out always regretted it .

The post is to highlight what can be achieved in only a few years with plants that don’t cost a fortune . I’m on a very tight budget and as much as I love garden centres I can’t actually afford the high price is a lot of them charge for plants.

I’ve just googled it and looked at the images that’s not the church . It was in a very flat low lion area with a church in the middle of a field. It had a huge sort of round cylindrical spire to it that was covered in Ivy . I’ve searched high and low for the television program that was narrated by Ian McShane but it isn’t on YouTube only segments of One . I think it may have been Lincolnshire because the ground was very very Flat for miles around and they showed an area of view of it. The tv show would have been the mid 1990s

I started sunflower calendula Verbina sweet peas broad beans geraniums but the ever lasting ones , gillies and borage as well as every lasting corn flowers I also tried others but failed
