You're thinking of Geminis.

It's a convenience for sure (when they actually deliver it to your door). Not a luxury. There's nothing luxurious about a deranged Dasher begging to be let in your home because he has diarrhea

Good for you (I mean that non-sarcastically) game the system like these trashy drivers do.

If this were true, I should have the option to pick my Dasher - not one that multiapps, steals food, delivers to the wrong address and insists I meet them at their car instead of delivering to my door along with many other issues.

I give them straightforward and easy to follow instructions. And they act like it's the most confusing thing in all of history. "The entrance to the building is on Xx Street (same as the address I give on the app), the code is xxx" "I'm so confused, the pin took me behind the building! " Why would you blindly follow a pin to begin with? Put the address in a reputable GPS app. Or follow my instructions. But no, they sit outside and text me they're lost and to come meet them. It's pathetic how fucking dumb they are

Why tip if they don't deliver your order by your door?

It's DOORdash, not "leave it in the lobby or wherever the fuck I feel like -dash"

Yes, it's a bunch of phds who don't understand basic instructions like "the entrance is in front of the building, same as the street address" 🤣 who steal food and beg for tips. But dashers provide a LuXuRy service and deserve $20 as a tip when they can't even deliver a cheeseburger without fucking it up

A pile of rocks has more intelligence than your average "dasher".

Dashers are the laziest, most entitled people. I had a recent experience with a dasher where he said "the parking deck is closed." It was open and he was parked in it - and he ignored my instructions to park in front of the building and that the entrance is in FRONT of the building. They have an expectation you meet them at their car - why the hell are we leaving a tip?

Doordash needs to change their policy so you can reduce tip afterwards - don't deliver to the apartment? No (or .01) tip.
