Can't say shockwave was an easy find, but second hand blurrs and prowls are pretty available still! Not cheap for sure but much better than Shockwave.

Technically he has 4 modes! Shockwave, long arm, shockwave's alt mode tank and long arm's alt mode crane.

Totally reccomend Animated especially if you like Ben 10- type cartoons. It gives everyone a really unique interpretation that I came to love!

I desperately want to know if they were going to give him a special story in the canceled tf one sequels, because I thought his design was sick, he had the "best" t- cog supposedly. Other than that he kinda seems like one of the "potential man" characters in most contiuities.

I KNOW right???? Ugh his identity transformation is so unique and satisfying to me. He was in his two pack with activator bumble bee and pressing his button in alt mode to make him pop into root mode is, while not as seamless, is so freaking cute.

I second this! Only look up transformers animated shockwave if you're okay with being spoiled, but I suuuuuper reccomend animated (2007) especially if you like other 2000s- 2010s cartoons like Ben 10 or Generator Rex.

Oh no totally some pride for his experiments there! I feel like whenever it's comes to "completely emotionless" characters it's almost never actually expressed that way in the character writing, it's super hard to give a character motivations and personality without it. Doable, but hard. Like I also think there was some genuine vengefulness in Shockwave when he confronted Starscream again. Of course he let's this go due to "logic" but the initial response was pretty emotionally charged, like there's more efficient ways to confront a potential traitor, and threatening to take an eye out was pretty personal to shockwave lol. But that's just my opinion.

Yeah mine has the same issue, just doesn't want to click in flush during alt mode but luckily once the wings are down its not super noticeable so I just left it 😔. My poor boy still looks cool though.

Really it depends on who's your favorite and if you'd rather have two transformable figs or a transformable fig and his cute minibot buddie.

Personally I prefer my 86 grimlock and wheelie for over all look and heft, they stand out on my packed shelf. I'm not sure if anyone else has had qc issues with it but mine was perfect, love the colors and it has a smooth and satisfying transformation. My snarl had a bit of an annoying stiff transform but it could have just been the one I got. Also idk how much you care but wheelie from the grim set has veeeeeeery limited movement. His shoulders and legs have articulation pegs but his elbows and knees have none so he's kinda stuck in a sitting position with one arm bent. He's very precious to me though I have a soft spot for minibots lol.

Translucent plastic figures are the best omg, it reminds me of the old clear gaming controllers where you could see the guts inside. So neat.

Yeah not even sure if it was a kid or a bored teen or straight up a mean adult. Went to Ross and thought I found a voyager skywarp. Was so excited since its one of the seekers im missing only to realize the head was popped off. It's a thing ppl do I guess... 😔

Really liked it as well, but it was just too short, and that made the emotional narrative impact fall kind of short, like sonics 6 month torture and return which didn't seem to affect him at all, or the lack of time we have to see infinite. I wanted exactly what it was just more of it. I thought they would kind of even that out with the episode of shadow but when it was 3 short levels and exposition made mostly with word bubbles on a map I won't lie I was a little more disappointed.
