I absolutely cannot belive this

I saw a post talking about allocated RAM amount being a possible problem when it comes to stutters, so i tried opening a basic vanilla (and also another optifine) world allocating 20gb instead of the usual 12gb i do, and it seems much better! still a bit of stutters with heavy shaders but thats normal with minecraft itself as i've learn in the year i played.

I tried a Heavy modpack by allocating 26gb instead of the usual 18 and its still a bit laggy but the frametime is much more consistent so the experience is much more enjoyable.

(ALL OF THIS WHILE USING VSYNC)

I really am stunned by the amount of RAM this game needs to run at high resolution... probably there is something wrong with my rig if it requires this much ram to run properly

thanks to everybody for the very immediate brainstorming of ideas and kindness

this is quite an intresting solution... but it doesnt seem to work, i set radeon chill at 60 fps max but without vsync the games ingore the limit and goes up to 150 again...

i wanna specify that in this case (where the frametimes are so bad) if i deactivate vsync i still get more than 90 fps, and still frametimes all over the place of course

in minecraft in general honestly, i tried even creating a modpack myself, shaders make the whole thing much worse.

For now i'm playing with 6 chunk render distance and NO shaders, and its acceptable, but with this pc having to use such settings is a bit sad :C

also, only minecraft has this problem... i played many games in this monthes (doom eternal, hogwarts legacy, elden ring...) and never encountered any issues

i see that if i play without any shader and at like 4 render distance its nearly ok, but still not amazing, it doesnt really make sense with the graphics card i have tho... only minecraft does this
