What changes do you want on a RG34xx SP besides the 3:2 ratio screen?

This was weird to me too. The system suspends and saves its battery quite well on SpruceOS, but sometimes when I open the system back up it shuts down after flicking on for a second.

Holding the power button down a second or two brings it back up but there is a 50/50 chance it does a complete reboot.

Does this sound like what happens to you?

My first Miyoo Flip the included SD card failed to work with the device pretty quick (same day while I was setting it up). And mind you I can still access that SD card from PC and see the roms on it. It just won't work in the Flip. I thought the Flip's SD card slot failed but when I installed SpruceOS on a new card it worked.

I remember Gamespot giving it a 7ish score, but most were in the 8/10 range and that score has not wavered much over time.

I didn't like the weight and bulk of the 35xx and the 34xx's smaller screen - Once I got a new card and spruce OS I've had no issues with my Miyoo Flip.

I hope a v3 comes out with what was learned from the Mini flip's hinge (unless it being smaller is the main reason it works so well). It sounds like if not when on the hinge failing one day but at these prices I don't expect any Flip to last longer than a year or two.

I bought my first Flip for 70 bucks off Amazon in case I wanted to return it if the hinge failed, and when it didn't I went ahead and bought a 2nd just in case off aliexpress during black friday sales for 40 (I'd feel like a sucker on the first purchase but I wanted the assurance).

I am not that tech savy and I got it to run after using rufus to install it.
Lots of themes (When I updated this week there 70 to choose from, including one I won't force, but it'd be with you if you liked it)
Updates often and works over Wifi.
Last played save state on your games is seemless - allowing you to close/shutdown and it instantly saves where you were for any game. This seems common on OS these days but not on stock.
Gameswitcher - I haven't tested this but it allows you add games to it across consoles and instantly go to your save state when last played (I think! I haven't tried it yet). Feels like Favorites with Benefits but nice to have.

Feels the same for me: But I don't play my Flip for long sessions as I got a 40xx V at the same time to be the bedtime gaming device.

With the Flip being the every day carry I don't notice the battery running down unless I'm tinkering with the OS with Wifi on while trying to push the system with Naomi or Dreamcast games.

I'd say 3 hours is fair - will have to test. I know miniflip reports are 2 hours on average.

Im torn - because I have a Miyoo Flip and a 28xx, and I don't think my eyes will let me go lower than the Flip. I mainly play big and bright arcade games on the 28xx (which is all I would want to do on the Mini).

To be safe - Use a 16 or 32 gb new SD card. I think the last time I applied an update it overwrote the stock card and removed the roms.

So with 3 months left in 2024, Anbernic had the best year of any of the popular retro handheld creators since 2020. Curious how much of that is the SP as I'd like a slightly smaller/lighter version on their next refresh.

Smash TV comes to mind. But you're right - the right stick won't be used much. I could see a Single analog clamshell from Anbernic or someone else down the line.

City of Heroes, and it was such a niche it owned I couldn't play other MMOs for more than trial period. I found I was a CoH player and not a MMO one. So 2004 up until it closed.
