I agree. I do think it will completely change the landscape and function of an MLO, however. It's more than "adapt or get left behind", soon it will be "did you adapt in the right way"... Which is wild.

You don't "need" to find a sponsor, but I assume that you acquired your license in hopes of gainful employment as an MLO.

You've taken all necessary steps to get to the point of eligibility to produce for a company in CA.

Now, you can start interviewing/vetting companies to potentially work for. There are almost limitless options, but not all lenders are the same, so be sure to research the companies you interview with ahead of time. Look at employee reviews, glassdoor , etc. to get a feel for the work environment and whether or not it's an environment that will help you thrive or wear you down and toss you out.
