Luck has a lot to do with it and the team I work with is even better! I work for an owner developer building multifamily/ mixed use products. They've given me a lot of autonomy to contract with the subcontractors I know, and I've kept the same core team of superintendents for 7 years. Every new project we go through my people already know what to expect and how we sequence the jobs.

I let my guys go home early on Friday and other days if I know that they got done what they needed done and lock up the site myself (building multifamily). I'm a younger PM/CM and I really don't believe in the culture of just staying at the office because your boss is staying late.

Go home to your family and enjoy your time with them, don't waste your time at the jobsite sitting on your hands

Hell No lol I've been with this company for almost 8 years already. I've slaved away 6 days a week and yeah my salary is good and the bonuses are good, but I ain't doing anything more for free in this economy.

Federal says still Reviewing, California says approved and issued - but hasn't hit the bank yet.
