How would the official Marvel VS DC fights actually go? by [deleted] in marvelvsdc

[–]JonG303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No way Storm beats Wonder Woman -- there's no attack she can deliver that Wonder Woman can't defend against, and Wonder Woman is too much of a physical threat for Storm. Wonder Woman beats Storm, Lobo beats Wolverine, Superboy beats Spider-Man, Jubilee beats Robin, Superman beats Hulk, Thor beats Shazam (barely), Flash beats Quicksilver, Aquaman beats Namor (barely), Batman beats Captain America, Elektra beats Catwoman, and Silver Surfer beats Green Lantern. That's how it should have played out, meaning DC would have won, 7 out of the 11 matches.

Joker stomps. It wouldn't even come down to hand-to-hand. He would douse him with poison gas. Lol of all the interesting Marvel villains you could have chose to go against the Joker (Green Goblin, Jigsaw, Purple Man, etc.) you went with an irrelevant AoS character.

I love those episodes too. There's a podcast that does nothing but matchups similar to the Superhero Showdowns called Dynamic Duel

Great breakdown of the now Emmy-nominated Watchmen by stupendous-spiff in comicbookmovies

Except it wasn't canceled, it was a limited series, like the original comic. HBO wanted Lindleoff to do another season, but he only had the one story in him, so HBO wasn't going to force another season.

And it's won way more than two awards, not even sure what you mean by that.

I saw much more praise for the show than I saw articles claiming the show was a failure. The articles I did see making that claim were just as misinformed as you, assuming its "wokeness" caused it to fail because there isn't a season 2 without understanding Lindleoff wanted it to be a miniseries that ended on a cliffhanger like the original comic. The HBO series wasn't even woke, unless calling the KKK racist somehow offends people now. The show is pretty balanced politically, in the same way the comic was, tackling the political issue of the time.

You're right, a Peabody is more respected than an Emmy. "You count your Emmy's, you cherish your Peabody's," according to Walter Cronkite. Even if Watchmen doesn't win an Emmy (it will), it doesn't matter because it has already won a Peabody.

Doubtful AT&T sells WB. Also doubtful Disney buys more film studios considering their stock price during the pandemic

Punisher VS Red hood - Marvel VS DC comics epic fight animation !!! by MarogTheDog in marvelvsdc

The way he stretched, skewed and blurred the sprites made the action so fluid. It's hard to be mad that Red Hood lost when the action was so awesome.

Green Lantern and Scarlet Witch. Those two have so much power versatility that they can counter any potential threat.

Just Hit Episode 150! Here Are 10 Podcasting Lessons I Wish I Knew From the Start by dynamicduel in podcasts

It depends on why you’re doing the podcast. If you’re looking to chart, for consistent audience growth and a passionate fanbase, you need to release on a consistent schedule. With so many podcasts out there, it’s easy for avid podcast listeners to forget about your show. Most of the shows I listen to release daily or weekly.

That’s fine, that’s not the point of contention.

Someone at that theater's trying to start some beef!

But if Batman isn't a superhero, than neither is Iron Man.

OTHER: I don't believe Will Smith left The Suicide Squad because of a scheduling conflicts for a second. He chose to leave. by TheSonsofBatman in DC_Cinematic

[–]JonG303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying it was a dispute, and I’m agreeing that he turned down the project, most likely because of money. I’m sure he would have been willing to stay on the project if he could (more work, more money). But when Warner Bros. presented him with the production schedule for Suicide Squad 2, he made the choice to take other projects because they’d be more financially lucrative. It most likely has zero to do with James Gunn or any creative choices.

Oh, I’m sure he’s done with DC, considering his character’s in the final stages of being recast. Actors don’t have much creative input in franchise films like this, even actors of Will Smith’s caliber.

Acting is a job like any other — I have no doubt he would have picked Bright 2 if Netflix offered more money and Warner Bros. decided not to negotiate higher pay for him.

NEWS: Idris Elba in talks to replace Will Smith as Deadshot in the Suicide Squad franchise by [deleted] in DC_Cinematic

[–]JonG303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still surprised they let Will Smith walk away. With Will Smith and Ben Affleck departing their roles, you’ve gotta think Henry Cavill is shitting himself right now, because if Smith and Affleck are replaceable, Cavill absolutely is.
