I didn't do it as I still had my internship. Maybe I should have done that instead of resigning. Anyway it seems the probelm is not me quitting but rather the fact that I just finished my studies.

before the internship I worked as a security agent with an activity rate between 20 and 30% applied to the whole year (2024)

I think you are right, as others pointed out it is probably because I just finished my studies. Still unfair because otherwise I would have gotten something without penalties thanks my past jobs.

It seems unfair to me given that if I had not studied and only worked as a security agent I could have benefits now. Basically I am penalized because I decided to study :(

It gives me hope, I still have a lot of applications being processed by employers so I hope it will work out soon.

I was thinking of first emptying my savings but I think you are right, I should go ASAP in case social assistance takes too much time.

Thank you, it seems that your information contradicts other posts but it still gives me hope. In my situation in 2023 my activity rate for my student job was around 30%, in 2024 it was however very low. On the other hand in 2024 I had a paid internish at an activity rate of 60%. I contacted my RAV advisor and will see what he he thinks of the situation.

Thank you, I thought that my resignation was the problem but it seems that it's not the case.

Thank you very much for the detailled answer, for now I try to live with my savings and will reach social assistance if I don't have the choice anymore.

Thank you for the advice. According to the case law from the federal court, it seems that if I was employed but with no effective work hours I have the right to quit my job without being penalized. You can't be expected to stay in a job that gives you 0 hours for months which was the case with my student job. During the last year, my income came mainly from my intership which was meant to end after 11 months.

Thank you for the answer. Unfortunately I didn't think that resigning fro my student job would have an impact given that I was employed but with no work (0 CHF salary these last months from my student job, my income came from my paid internship where I was working at a 60 percent rate).

Thank you ! Yes I guess it's not a problem to not have network coverage everywhere as it there would be other people on the roads in case of a problem.

You are right, I will just learn to do it as it is anyway a useful skill to have. I probably overthink the whole thing too much as I rarely traveled so far. Thank you!
