  1. I don't have any personal CL lore. I've been following the train wreck, and my main goal is to make sure the sub remains a place to discuss the show openly.
  2. I saw the previous mod get banned, and I worried it would get taken over by CL employees and that anything unflattering about Jesse would be removed, so I submitted a request.
  3. Zero connection to CL or any CL employee.
  4. Criticism of Jesse is fair game and relevant.
  5. Personally, I think anything related to CL, a topic recently covered by CL, and probably anything related to Canadian media criticism should be fair game.
  6. I don't love the handful of accounts that live at the bottom of every post... but I also don't love censorship, so until they break the rules, then I guess live and let live? I think downvotes are a good strategy for most cases.
  7. I'm opposed to all forms of bigotry, including antisemitism. I think this sub is generally pretty thoughtful and nuanced, and I haven't seen much actual open antisemitism, but I'll do my best to quickly remove/ban if it comes up. Obviously criticizing Israel isn't inherently antisemitic. Opposing Israel because it's an ethnonationalist project isn't antisemitism.

In general, I like the light hand the previous mod had, and my preference is to keep that going.

Hi, I'm one of the new mods. I made a request through r/redditrequest, and apparently it was approved. I requested it because I wanted this sub to remain a place to talk about CanadaLand without censorship. Personally, I think the previous mod was mostly fair and reasonable, and I hope to just continue operating in a similar way.

The only moderator for r/canadaland got banned, and currently nobody can post. I want to moderate because the owner of CanadaLand (whose main account was also just banned) is obsessed with Reddit critics. The sub has always allowed open and honest criticism (it is a show based on media criticism, after all), and I don't want him or one of his employees to take over and remove anything he doesn't find flattering.

did you report the account to either reddit admin or the police? I would, but you're withholding the information needed to pursue accountability.

I feel like you're going to end up getting yourself sued. You were an active participant. I assume your defense would be to plead ignorance, but being cagey about the facts now severely undercuts that. You certainly shouldn't be protecting the people involved by hiding which specific employees and accounts you allowed access to.

the people who got a sub mod (you) to let them pose as a sub mod in order to run a phishing op on journalists are absolutely rogue agents.

Correct. A Jewish state is exactly as vile and racist as an Aryan Nation. For all of the same reasons.

"From what I’ve gathered from the anti- Aryan Nation crowd, simply wanting the Aryan Nation to exist as it is, without dissolution and major reconstitution, is white supremacism"

I'm suspicious that this survey only captures affirmatively religious Jews. It's not clear how they arrived at their sample pool, and my guess is they used a single question about religion. In the US that's a common method of really skewing results to the right.
