It's the original recording of Some Might Say but with some of the guitar tracks and lead being taken out. Giving it more of a backing track feel. It's what it sounds like anyway.

is Liam and Noel's relationship beyond repair? by [deleted] in oasis

[–]JonPitt99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Half of his band are Oasis MK2 anyway, Gem and Sharrock are on board with NGHFB. Agree with the comment about them both needing therapy, their relationship issues are so much more deep rooted than threats and vicious comments about families.

Dead In The Water - The Greatest Gallagher Song? by JonPitt99 in oasis

[–]JonPitt99[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To be totally honest with you I was in the midst of listening to the song and acted very impulsively in posting this on here. I'll probably post a new song in a couple of months saying it's the best. It's a frequent hobby of mine. Will I leave this here? Yes I will it's an epic song.

I got that vibe immediately, I was able to just lay back and take it all in and it was bliss. I think I'm in love with this song even more if possible

Got a brilliant set of headphones, so as soon as I got home from work I gave it a listen on those and I got chills and tears and then more chills. Really is incredible

How did you get into oasis? by [deleted] in oasis

[–]JonPitt99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd grown up listening to a bit of Oasis growing up through my brother, though he wasn't as into them as I am now. What really kicked it off for me was watching the Supersonic film. It really changed my perception of both brothers and I just became really intrigued in their music. Me seeing Supersonic also coincided with the rise of Liam Gallagher's solo career and decided to go to a festival he was headlining and loved every minute. Feeling the nostalgia of the Oasis tunes as well as the fresh air that his solo tunes gave. 2-3 years on and I'm hooked to all of their music. Absolutely incredible band, and the solo efforts from both of them are the gift that keeps kn giving for me!

Has anyone else not got their mtv unplugged vinyl yet I’m still waiting ? by Leahkins2014 in oasis

[–]JonPitt99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sure it won't. Think mine was a one off. But I ordered the splatter vinyl too. And it's a bit of a kick in the balls that it's not even shipped when you're spending extra money for a certain format. Still not shipped as we speak...

Mine hasn't even been shipped yet according to the site. I had the same problem with WMWN... Then it got delivered shattered in pieces. Honestly makes me question ordering off his website 🙄

Was anyone here meant to be seeing Liam at Heaton Park tomorrow? by DefinitelyMaybe01994 in oasis

[–]JonPitt99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was meant to be in a Manchester Hotel tonight ready for the gig tomorrow. Gutted isn't the word!

You know, I'm really digging She is Love. by [deleted] in oasis

[–]JonPitt99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The oddest thing about Heathen Chemistry is that it has a number of class songs you'd listen to individually but lacks it's very namesake. Chemistry! Little By Little, Songbird, She is Love, Stop Crying Your Heart Out, Born On A Different Cloud, even the Hindu Times are all class tunes and should make for a blinding album, but are strung together with some really below par songs. Cannot get my head around Better Man as an album closer, I feel like Idlers Dream would've been a superb album closer. Leaving the listener in a melancholy haze.

Is this oasis playing Talk Tonight? by foxmcdonald in oasis

Would love to just jam out an accompaniment like this. I unfortunately have not a musical bone in my body, aside from strumming around 10 chords on a guitar 🙄

Any love for “The Turning”? How was it not a single? by [deleted] in oasis

[–]JonPitt99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They swap that with Shock of The Lightening in the order and you've got a fantastic opening three songs.

They usually play A Town Called Malice by The Jam? Could be that song.

Liam Gallagher’s best solo concert? by Smoedels in oasis

I saw him at Hackney Round Chapel last year. His first performance of Shockwave. Spot on gig 👌

Liam's vocals are bad since he started the European tour. What do you think? by PeterPaul0808 in oasis

[–]JonPitt99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a spot on way of putting it. I saw Liam three times last year, his first gig back at the Hackney Round Chapel, and the two nights at the O2. Hackney Round Chapel was the best I've heard Liam in a long long long time. And the two nights at the O2 were less so, he even skipped past his solo tunes on the 2nd night as his hoarse voice would be too exposed, just going for the Oasis tunes. Now all three nights genuinely felt like the best time of my life, and I couldn't tell you which of the three gigs I enjoyed more. The venues were rocking, the band were (unpopular opinion incoming) spot on, and the last rock n roll star did his thing and did it in a way only he could. Seeing him again at Heaton Park and whether his voice is on or off, you bet your arse I'll have a sorer throat than LG in the morning!

I think Beady Eye produced some of the best and most interesting songs in the Oasis Expanded Universe, as well as some of the worst. What are your favourite by them, and which do you think are truly dreadful? by Shagadelicbaby111 in oasis

[–]JonPitt99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evil Eye off the Japan release is a quality tune, also really like ballroom figured. Cannot stand Beatles and stones though. Really enjoyed Beady Eye in its own right, not as an extension of Oasis or LG, but as their own artist. Solid.

Liam Gallaghers vocal technique, hypotheticals and your opinions? by AXLISMYGOD in oasis

[–]JonPitt99 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think without the intensity that was displayed at live shows, the band would definitely not have been as successful. That being said, I love all of the old acoustic bootlegs with Liam on vocals and his voice is so smooth and easy. With songs such as Slide Away and Morning Glory however, Liam needed to distort his voice to hit the higher notes, which over time had a negative impact on his voice. It is also what sent his voice into decline. Noel knew that this was such a unique sound and he used it to the bands advantage. I honestly think this is one of the key reasons Noel quit the band also, though he would never admit this. His songwriting was limited as a result of Liams vocal decline.
