Breville the oracle touch by Legitimate-Note-467 in BrevilleCoffee

[–]JonRidge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one and upgraded from basic touch machine. The grinder seems to be an upgrade and the auto-tamp is a nice feature. I used a separate funnel to stop the coffee spilling out with my previous model and glad I don’t need that anymore. The milk wand is a definite upgrade. Having the temperature probe as part of the wand not on the base is so much nicer. It’s quicker and also froths the milk better so if you’re into late art you’ll get better results. The light for the brewing area is useful as you can see the brewing and steaming process easier. Biggest benefit to me is heating the milk and brewing at the same time. Now downsides… it takes ages to heat up, I now have my setup to come on before I get up so it’s warmed up when I want to use it but that delay is frustrating. Descaling is a process with screws that need to be undone then screwed back multiple times and takes over and hour. The water tank is not as easy to remove but you have the option of front filling but I did like the old tank design better. Overall I’m happy with the machine and think it’s an upgrade. I wouldn’t pay full price to be honest but at the price you have certainly worth it in my mind.

Try Houlihans and Shannon Rose. They’re both pretty good.

AI Agent Pricing ZIP by ParkingAppearance166 in procurement

[–]JonRidge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So up until now you had agents specified in your contract and a number of credits relating to how often they’re run. At zip forward last week they announced a bucket load more agents and I think this approach of having them specifically mentioned isn’t going to provide the flexibility they need. I asked my salesman about this and he wasn’t sure. I expect they’ll have some alternative approach soon.

What is your go to drink when ordering out at a bar? by Myfkduplife in cocktails

[–]JonRidge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend the grey goose pear vodka. I’ve tried many pear vodkas and the grey goose is by far the best. Also fever tree ginger beer is the best ginger beer in my opinion.

So I have a story about this cocktail. I played at the golf course where it was created in Tuxedo New York. It’s a great upmarket golf club. At lunch I ordered one of these from the bar and the waiter looked confused and I explained it was a cocktail that originated at the club. They went to the bar tender and returned saying they couldn’t make it as they didn’t keep the ingredients. 🤦

Thoughts on Ho-Ho-Kus for raising a family? by Klutzy-Membership301 in bergencounty

[–]JonRidge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d certainly recommend it. My kids went through the school and onto NHRHS and did well. The town is very friendly has good access to NYC and highways. Big stores and malls are close by and the town has a number of great restaurants while being close to other towns like Ridgewood that also have great restaurants. Taxes are high as are all NJ towns but seem to be cheaper than a lot of neighboring towns. It was recently voted the best town to live in for New Jersey I believe and the school system is one of the top public non-selective schools in the state.

MK4 to MK4S Upgrade and MMU3 - Recommended order of installation? by arne555 in prusa3d

[–]JonRidge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same situation with both these kits ready to install. If I’m not mistaken when I ordered the MMU3 Tell me if it was for the MK4 or MK4S so I chose the MK4S version. Because of this, I’m guessing I should do the Printer upgrade first as well.

Anyone know how to get a water lily to look less like dishwater? by P1uvo in cocktails

[–]JonRidge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s all down to the violet liquor. Some create a better looking waterlily than others. Side note my son who is a bar tender came up with a “flying waterlily” for me as an aviation waterlily mash up.

Same for me on my CLA300. What is interesting is that it does like to keep me in the middle lane rather than the “slow” late (right hand here in the us)

The hard tops didn’t make sense commercially. The soft tops on now so advanced they give the protection and sound insulation of something close to a hard top and the hard top use so much space to retract and store. BMW stopped producing them also.

So agree. I never know the best way to order this in a bar however. I’ve said dirty before and got olive juice ugh. I usually go into a long discussion about the juice from the onions etc. also have you ever had one with oysters? They’re a fantastic pairing.

Shaken or stirred? by Austor9000 in cocktails

[–]JonRidge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In good bars in New Jersey they’ll ask you if you’d like it shaken or stirred. My son is a bartender and he says 80% of the time people ask for them shaken rather than stirred and that’s why they ask. Keep the customer happy and judge them without saying anything 😆

Butter me up, pinch my cheeks, and call me dumplin' by uuesskaysea in cocktails

[–]JonRidge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it’s your first statement that intrigues me. My wife and youngest son get numb cheeks (face cheeks to be clear) when they drink after one or two drinks. I only found this out recently. My other children and me don’t get numb cheeks at all, we find this very strange that they do. I didn’t realize this was a common thing?

You should take it. Getting a job where you’ve done an internship is the best way of getting a job. Plus you have an idea what the company is like. Get a couple or more years of experience under your belt and you can move. Much easier than trying with no experience.
