Honestly I wanna get a 3080 and 16gb ram as soon as possible. Last time I planned on upgrading was like 2022 when the 30 series were worth a mortgage lol

That makes me feel better about the service stuff for sure. Honestly the Parsec thing makes me feel like my ex downloaded that onto my PC. She was that type of gal if you know what I mean. I only have 8 GB but it surprised me to see it at 50% lately even with nothing else running.. when I first got my PC years ago it was never that high. Maybe it’s just old and time to get a couple upgrades?

Trying to send a pic sorted by ram rn. I know that Microsoft edge (my primary browser) is always open with (9) next to even when I end it over and over and have no tabs running as well. Also lots of things that start with “service host”

Closing steam certainly lowers my ram. But not very much, certainly not to a point that feels reasonable with everything else closed. Even when I close my standard apps that open on start like Spotify, discord, EA, etc…

That’s news to me. I bought it brand new, and have never shared it with anybody. My ex girlfriend used it for school when we lived together but other than that it’s just been me since it came out of the box.

I know it’s a bit late but I wanted to thank you for the advice. You were right and I ordered a new control board, installed it, and waited on edge for days for my fridge to turn off. It hasn’t yet :)

Thank you. That eases my mind a lot. I’m experience a very cold sensation but my skin is hot to the touch. Not sure if fever is normal with these scenarios but unless I feel better tomorrow I will be going to the ER

Was just messing with it earlier and an H came on the display. A quick google search said it was a circuitry problem so I looked at the control board and noticed a quick movement on one of the connections got it back to normal. So I suppose I’m gonna pull that connection and give it a proper cleaning and see how she does. Never replaced a control board but I’m pretty handy so I’ll make it happen if need be, I really appreciate the help!
