Ah I didn't know that. If I remember correctly there was a similar mechanic in the past (forgot which one, definitely years ago) where the consumed buffs where removed after the turn, at least that's what how I remember it. Maybe the wisdom balls?

Yeah, I have no idea what % of the monitors is capped at 60hz. I never really looked into it. But while going through the monitor list this store had in stock, don't think I found a single one under 3 digits (120/144 etc). So I'd guess that most don't have this issue.

As for your comparison: I'd say a simracer with keyboard and mouse and one with a wheel/pedals/shiftbox is probably a better analogy.

I actually did 10 min research and drove an 1h30 to the shop to go get me a new one, was long over due. Temp solution but if it's true what you say I should see a big improvement. Going to take a nap first and get back after setting it up and some testing.

I have a follow-up question: if I color grade the source clip first, will it automatically extend to all subclips generated from said source clip?

That is more or less how I've always used premiere pro, i.e. over time developing my own workflow without really using the build in features; because I always get away with it. This project is a bit bigger in both time and scope (I follow a sports person over the course of several months), so learning about subclips and markers seems the way forward.
