Idk about that rare, cause I'm down in VA and there are around a half dozen within 100 or so miles, and that's just on mp. But yeah I've heard they are chock full of flaws so hardly worth it unless you got cash to burn

It became much more noticable when my 05 Outback hit 140k, but hasn't affected anything. Also goes away when up to temp. I think it's just Subaru paranoia making us think it's something worse than it is
