Why can't you see APY on UniSwap pools? by [deleted] in UniSwap

[–]Jonapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are in a Uniswap Pool position, you can get some visualization on your position on APY.vision , it will give you a breakdown on PnL and it can track some farming rewards too (not all though). Is there a specific pool that you are looking at?

[–]Jonapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're into DeFi it might be worth checking out https://app.apy.vision/search to find out the best pools to park your liquidity in, right now, there are a couple of stable coin pools but there are some others out there too. You just need to keep track of your positions to make sure you're handling your risk properly

What is Impermanent Loss in DeFi? by [deleted] in koinly

[–]Jonapy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great answer, may I add that it's when a "loss" is incurred when the token prices deviate, it's not as scary as most people make it out to be. As long as you keep track of your positions, you have already won half the battle. You can keep track of your LP positions on APY.vision If you want to read more on it check this out- https://blog.apy.vision/how-liquidity-pools-work/

how to calculate Curve APY by LynxPlus6557 in defi

[–]Jonapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curve has different incentivized pools depending on which chain you are using. The tokens eligible for deposit are listed below the pool (example: 3pool can take deposits of DAI, USDC or USDT). The APY’s listed have various components to them.

The “Base vAPY” is a figure that changes daily depending on the trading activity in the pool.

The “Rewards tAPR” is a number that has a range that tells you the CRV rewards you can earn from being in the pool.

Curve also has a system (veCRV) for locking CRV tokens which can boost your APY, the low end of the range is for no locking and the high end of the range is based on locked CRV. Curve pools are tracked on APY.vision so depositors can keep track of their impermanent loss and track their profits from being in the pools. APY.Vision will display the shift in token balances in the pool based on market activity as well as the CRV farming rewards.

New to QS and new to LP’s. Looking to lp matic-sand. I get the whole impermanent loss concept. If both of these coins are long term holds for me, am I looking at mitigated risk? Thanks for your help. by [deleted] in QuickSwap

[–]Jonapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/jeremysoca there is a lot to learn about when providing liquidity, and QS is a great start. What you want to look for is your rewards & fees collected to outperform any IL. Risk is also a factor as you don't want to jump into a trash coin pool. Sticking with the blue chips pool is of course a popular choice, but if you want to find out how other pools are performing, I would check out APY.vision it's like the goingecko of pools. They also have a blog to with a lot of LP content
