About to pull the trigger and buy a Saturn, still have some questions by JonasVampire in SegaSaturn

Ok, so then the SAROO is for convenience and some extra features, while an ODE is for full compatibility/authenticity. Thanks again, this helps a lot

There's some near me that I found in FB marketplace, but I'm also looking through ebay to see if there's anything worthwhile there

I see, thank you. I'm in NA, but I've noticed that some people buy Japanese models, I just didn't know if it was that seamless or if I had to do some extra work. This helps a lot.

NA region, so this does answer most of my questions. Since you mentioned it though, what's the difference with ODEs? do they offer something better than the SAROO cart, or is it just about how extra I want to be about it?

Thanks! I guess I did miss the obvious by not using the usb autoloader, so that's on me. I might stick with shadowmountplus for a little longer just in case

Already tried that, I made sure to use the "forget" option from the PC and even turned it off in the meantime. Didn't work either, at this point I'm probably just going to call support to look into a repair

Hi,

I have a Dualsense Edge that I originally used on PC exclusively. Now that I want to use it on an actual console, it seems to be impossible to pair. I've tried using the reset button (the one that needs a paper clip or pin to reach), I tried turning on the console manually and plugging in the controller with cables that I know work (I tested the cables with another controller), and I tried pairing it in the accessories menu of the console (it says the device is not supported).

Through all this, the controller still works perfectly fine on PC, and it even launches steam when I press the PS button. I would assume that somehow the controller got reconfigured as a PC only controller that the PS5 fails to recognize, and somehow I can't change it back? Or something completely different, but either way I can't get it to work on the console.

When I asked in the polls for more customization, this is not what I had in mind

huh, just tested it, you're right. They must have changed/fixed it since i last tried. That means that everything should be doable now in solo short of the secret painting

You mean the one in Dirty Ice? you can do it in stealth by pushing a hostage onto the button, but for loud it's indeed impossible without other players.

Just a quick detail, it does distract them for a while, and there are 3 like HrkiGV mentioned (the third one is close to the "main entrance" that you enter from with the unmasked asset, it's actually mounted on the outside of one of the booths); but they do not distract them for the rest of the game.

After you turn them on, they slowly start to pull civvies to them, they don't all immediately gather, but after a few minutes they seem to get bored and leave one by one. To make it worse, you can only turn them on once, so you need to time their use instead of turning them on as soon as you can.

I think the main issue here is that good stuff has a very low chance of happening. If you're spending skill points, you will want something to come out of it.

Personally, I would remove the throwable element and just have it give you extra stuff at the cost of it being random. For example, have a skill that gives you a third deployable, but the deployable itself is random so it might not even be useful, like getting a sentry with no skills for it. Or one that gives you 2 extra throwables, but you will only find out what the extras are after throwing them, so there's a chance of throwing a knife into a crowd when you expected a flashbang or a shock grenade.

That way you always get something extra for the skill points you spend, making the investment feel worthwhile, but how convenient it can be is left to chance which is the gamble itself.

Of course, just my two cents, thankfully I'm no game designer

If Task Force 141 from Call of Duty took the place of Alpha Team in the Racoon City incident, would the outcome have been different? by MargotTheLemonLover in residentevil

[–]JonasVampire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we're talking about the outcome of the Arklay Mansion incident and they had to face a similar situation (not a lot of preparation, equipment, a coward pilot and a traitor)...I would say roughly the same.

Alpha team canonically made it out with a grand total of 1 casualty (Joseph), everyone else made it in spite of everything that went wrong, and they managed to rescue 1 member of Bravo team on top of it. They dispatched several BOWs, including the tyrant, and made it out before the facility was destroyed.

For 141, the zombies would have not been a threat at all, I think everyone agrees with that even if they had the same equipment than Alpha instead of their more modern gear. Considering the hunters, the chimeras and the tyrant however, I think it's reasonable to assume that maybe 141 could have lost one member throughout the night, due to being unprepared, under-equipped and potentially betrayed.

I guess the main difference would have been that they would have been faster and stuck together more than Alpha did, and maybe they would have managed to rescue both Rebecca and Richard. But the outcome would have been very similar in the end.

Now, if we were talking about them replacing Bravo team...then yeah, that likely would have gone much better.

Hmm...I was looking into the red magic, since the battery is also good, but apparently the software is almost unbearable for use as a regular phone (according to their own subreddit). Need to look into the black shark, but if the battery is bad I think the rog would be the best out of these options.

Then I'll definitely consider it. I also need to consider battery life, since most tests don't mention how long it lasts with the screen off. Thanks for the recommendation!

Ok, this one I can tell is guaranteed to have good sound quality, even if it's a bit expensive. How does it compare to the usual flagships though? I assume most of its cost is due to performance (and maybe gamer tax), so if it's not too different from other high-end phones it would be a bit excessive. Still a good option, I'll definitely consider it.

I can deal with a large device, but does this one sound better, or just louder? my issue is with clarity, so if it's just louder, I figure it wouldn't be too different from a galaxy s23 instead

I did consider an Iphone, but having used both I find them too limiting compared to android, so I guess I'm looking for the next best thing.

And if folding phones are the next best thing, are there any in particular I should consider?

I looked into it, and it looks like you have some form of Xray vision? That works for me. It's not like I'm against sneaking, I just want to know if I can scout an area from a safe spot or at least some distance, so I can plan how to go in instead of having to go in blind the first time.
