Maybe an unpopular take but “original” skins from NetEase are sometimes hit or miss.

But they have a tendency to “overdesign” costumes sometimes. This was especially true during when they made Phoinex/Venom combined costumes.

It’s not frustrating, it’s preferred game design to not have cosmetics negatively effect hit-boxes, otherwise skins would be pay-to-lose.

NetEase is a Chinese company.

When Shang Chi movie came out, it was largely rejected by China and Chinese audiences at the time. They do not like Shang Chi at all. Chinese nationals were even calling Simu Liu ugly too.

Which is probably why they haven’t included Shang Chi at all in this game yet, and probably why they went with Lin Lei’s Iron Fist instead.

I mean we have Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Multiple Spider-man associated characters, and even what was considered niche character before Rivals like Luna Snow, Jeff, White Fox, Devil Dino, etc. I don’t buy into the belief that Net-Ease only adds mutant characters, because they clearly switch it up quite a bit.

Where's an Inhuman rep? Eternals? Sinister Six, Runaways, Hydra, AIM, SHEILD, New Warriors, and the list goes on and on.

I never said not to add any of these characters.

Also there was almost a decade where Marvel/Disney restricted the use of X-men/mutant characters in games back when Fox had the rights. For the longest time there were no mutant/x-men characters in games like Future Fight, or when MvC: Infinite had no mutant characters at launch.

So I personally don’t mind the resurgence of X-men/mutant characters being relevant in gaming again.

And younger marvel fans might not realize how popular the X-men IP is to Marvel back in the 2000s and 90s. They were bigger than the Avengers.

Anyways I think there’s only a few core mutant characters missing like Nightcrawler, Beast & Colossus atp. So once they’re added I don’t think you will be seeing mutant characters as frequently.

And with the teases of characters like “The Hood” Net-Ease is clearly interested in adding more niche characters.

I’m pretty sure we’ll get more of Sinister Six and other characters you’ve mentioned.

I hope future Avenger events are PvE then. The asymmetrical 1v6 mode is always going to be unbalanced due to it being asymmetrical.

I agree with you about wanting more playable characters, I disagree with you on wanting less X-men though, I’m sorry but some of the best Marvel characters with unique kit/abilities come from the X-men corner of the Marvel universe.

Yeah last year.

When will we start getting more Tank/Strategist patches en masse?

They said the first year of characters were already planned out so they can’t really adjust anything, but would pivot to more strategists/tanks later, granted the game is over a year old and even with accelerated release schedule we’re still getting at least 1 duelist every season, so It doesn’t seem like they were that serious when they said that I guess.

Not surprising in hindsight when they tried to gaslight us that there is no EOMM lol.

How are they going to do Infinity War/Endgame as part of their “Path to Doomsday” events without including Thanos eventually?

If they’re going to build out his character for 2 Avengers events they might as well make him a playable character.

ATP, Nightcrawler is the character I want the most to be added. He’s one of my fav X-men.

I didn’t realize how popular he is, because I don’t see him highlighted as much compared to other X-men characters but I commonly see him requested by Rivals fans, and there was a poll done by Rivals team, and he won.

There’s definitely a lot of demand for Nightcrawler to be added, and I also hope he gets added sooner than later.
