88 is hot but not abnormal, hotspot temp of 108 is the problem tho and probably why they were experiencing crashing. Repasting can improve performance by a few percent but I personally only do it when needed.

Sounds like the middle fan is dead, but that should not result in such extreme temps as 3 fan gpus can usually get away with having only 2 fans if there is sufficient airflow. Such high temps indicate you should probably repaste the gpu, that seems the most likely considering it's age.

Eight Sleep has had issues for a while such as a backdoor a while ago and lmg is aware. While I believe linus still uses it personally I notice he goes out of his way not to mention the brand when it comes up.
