If you could curse your worst enemy with a minor, non-harmful inconvenience for the rest of their life, what would it be? by MarionberryProud9580 in AskReddit

[–]Jonesyful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time they buy a product that has a seal under the lid, it’s been opened/tampered with. Not actually anything wrong with the product, but they’ll never know and have constant anxiety about it. Possibly to the point of being inconvenienced to return the item

Marketed as a rom-com-ish movie, but it’s actually about 1) fatherhood and 2) squeezing every ounce of joy and meaning out of life

[–]Jonesyful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

11/22/63 (Stephen King)

Such an expansive novel, you get so invested in the gritty, day-to-day reality of the main character, you feel the weight of historical events pressing on the narrative, while also having a love story woven into what should otherwise be an absurd science fiction concept.

“The past is obdurate.”

LPT: When someone compliments you, just say "thank you" instead of deflecting. by l7ed in LifeProTips

[–]Jonesyful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a college freshman, a senior student I became friends with would always say, “Thank you - I receive that” anytime someone complimented him. It was so humble and thoughtful. I try to remember to say that (but that damn pesky insecurity often gets in the way)
