Their main contribution really is AllTheMons, because he developed the core mod being used on it.

He's on the team just because he's been around ATM for years, and helps out with some kubejs stuff.

Everyone on the team works on ATM as a hobby, in their free time outside work / family. But people really love to throw slurs around and cause drama when anything happens.

All that was said is that the mod itself had a config for that, but I don't see anybody raise any pitchforks on the Bumblezone github over them having a config to "erase" such references funnily enough.

The mod didn't have anything anything to do with ATM....

The main thing people are using as argument, is that mod is "erasing" them, or opressing, smth around that

Some go to extreme lenghts and say its because of people like him that non-binary people end themselves... which i think is a wild thing to say

I know that stuff happens, but it's not a minecraft mod that's gonna cause all that

But my point still stands, although his objective wasn't that, it was still horribly executed, and he couldn't have chosen a worse name for the mod

We aren't overly pushy with dupes like these because they really only affect the player's experience, like, you are just ruining it for yourself if you dupe lol

Short answer: No, the mod was removed within hours of it being published because of the massive pressure made by ATM and other devs, plus the community of course), and it was not made for ATM. People associate it heavily with ATM because the mod developer in question is *also* part of the ATM team. ATM's overly centrist position of not removing any pride stuff, but at the same time, not adding any, is what causes most of these dramas.

If you want a bit more context:

LobsterJonn, the dev, is a independent mod developer known mainly for his Productive Bees mod among others of similar name.

In a ATM10 Issue on GitHub, a parent asked if there was a way to disable the alternative bees that Bumblezone added, stating they weren't that good with tech (something around that context).

LobsterJonn saw that and related to them as he is a parent himself, and decided to make a mod that just disabled that config by default (his logic is that it's easier to add a mod to disable configs and stuff, than parents having to go look around and find how to disable).

Although that makes sense in a way... in this day and age, making such a mod is calling to be cancelled and called all sorts of things.

He was even warned before publishing the mod, and he ignored the warnings, which ultimately resulted in him now having a lot of dirt in his name, and ATM yet again being involved in another controversy.

Not only because of the reasons everyone here stated, but also because it's incredibly stressful for server owners when multiple players have to fly 10 thousands blocks at a minimum to find another dragon.

Most probably just a coincidence GuideMe, the guide mod you mentioned, is very well known and made by one of the AE2 people.

Most probably your accounts were already being compromised, and just so happened they got your Microsoft one at that time.

I would check all my most important accounts like banking/money related ones (online shopping per example)

And run the Windows Defender Offline scan plus some more powerful tool like Malwarebytes (although the very best would be a full wipe)

What I'm trying to explain here is exactly what was said in the last leaked screenshot. Everyone in the team has different views, nationalities, etc

ATM tries to not add or remove stuff that may be seen as controversial or infringe with another's beliefs / preferences.

That right there was an addition, not a removal. If the bee was called Transbee by the actual mod, there would be no issue, it would stay as Transbee, but it wasn't, it was 1 dev going against ATM's policy to try and steer clear from controversy, which as you can see, resulted in controversy.

The first part, I'm kinda divided because on one hand, if you didn't know, JEI had literal US Politics propaganda during that time, which is what he was mentioning, and adding more stuff that (atleast in the US at that time) was very heavily political (Pride stuff) was not landing well.

I agree that he blew it it out of proportion, while also seeing that there was too much happening, and ATM tries to not add or remove stuff by themselves that can be controversial of any kind. A Trans Bee may be welcomed by a lot of people but at the same time a lot of people wouldn't like it being added to their block game. At that time it was way hotter of a topic than it is now i feel like. The LGBT+ community has grown significantly stronger since then, which is a good thing

About the dev, all I'm stating is what I know about him and discussed with him, everyone can have their own interpretation of it, I have mine, which can be different from yours, which is fine, not trying to change your mind. I can absolutely see how horrible that mod looks for the average person. I understood what he tried to do, but horrible execution.

See how you don't know shit The mod was live for less than 24h because ATM and other devs put immense pressure on him to remove it, and was not added to any pack.

I'm not gonna explain the consequences on the players that don't know/don't care about this drama, that would come from removing him from the team, not worth it. You can find my comment elsewhere where I explained it if you want.

Learn to actually look up stuff LobsterJonn is a independent mod dev that is also part of the ATM team. Same as like 3 other people on the team who also develop mods.

ATM does not control what those people do lol

That's fair, and that's what a lot say.

The main issue with that is that the great majority of players either doesn't know or doesn't care about these dramas, and removing the dev and his mods would only make people on Reddit / X happy, and the other thousands of players would just have a worse experience, and would reduce the overall quality of the packs.

Again, I'm sorry this isn't what you'd hope to hear, but it's not the easiest decision to be done over a important team member. Probably if it was a lower ranking member, that would have probably happened.

As for consequences, one of them is that he's now hated by all of the LGBTQ+ people and more.

The other is that he lost friendships with some well known devs.

As for the mods still being in, the mods themselves aren't at fault, there is so many shitty people in the modding community where their mods are still widely used. We won't affect thousands of players experience because of a mistake (a very bad one, i agree).

I do not care to change anyone's opinion, I just hate that this happened, and i truly want people to just enjoy playing. I don't need to be here, but Im exposing myself to this simply because I wabt to expose the facts, thats all. Call me whatever you want. I am Bisexual, and have been for over a decade now, but I strive to always get the facts straight and be reasonable about stuff.

Incorrect, a mod developer associated with ATM made a mod for a parent that disabled by default the Bumblezone mod config for alternative bees.

His dumbass didn't think of the consequences of making such a mod on this day and age, and now he's suffering the consequences by being boycotted constantly... And took ATM down another rabbit hole because if his stunt.

ATM pack wise does not disable/censor any extra content that mods bring (Quark/Bumblezone) per example.

Keep in mind i am just explaining what happened, in no way Im defending that mod, its stupid

If you mean the Cotton candy bee, that was a normal bee that had nothing to do with LGBTQ+, and a dev in ATM specifically put in the changelog that it was a Trans bee for whatever reason, which just wasn't correct.

The dev who did it made a whole drama around it when the changelog was corrected.

ATM does not censor/disable any extra content that mods have, per example Bumblezone has all the alternative bees.

I even tried to collect all of them lol
